Well done DD.  So pleased it went well.

Go easy Dove - no relapses needed.

Hosta - yes, take 'em for every penny you can.  They don't seem reasonable to me and need to learn but, more importantly, not leave you out of pocket.

Pat - Hope that bug goes thru quickly.

Joyce, if you're there, huge hugs.   Cosmos has been "helping" me with my boxes of patterns - messy.

After a late start, Possum and I have done the SM run.   Making her some new shorts this pm cos, like me, she is not shop shaped.   We've had rain overnight but it's now bright and sunny and breezy so maybe a bit of pottering later on.

Enjoy the afternoon everyone - especially the Kew brigade.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

And you'll be doing their next landlord a favour image  There's more than one set of Facts of Life to learn.

Glad you Doc is pleased Dove. Onwards and upwards, but please proceed with caution.

I'd like to think we're very good landlords. We charge them the going rate for rent, but ask for no contribution towards council tax or water and we even let them piggy back our WiFi.

We made the flat as nice as possible and hoped it would be loved in return. The whole place was totally repainted  ( Farrow and Ball, no rubbish ) just before they moved in and OH said there's a great big mark on the stair case wall where they've had sofa moved up there.

Methinks the vetting of new tenants will be a lot more thorough next time.

Hosta ... methinks you were swayed by the romance of 'young love' and them setting up home for the first time .... you're a lovely big softy image  (well, not so big now).

I will be careful ......... promise.  image

Dove, methinks you're right. Maybe I need to get my big , butch, cynical head on next time?

Too kind Hosta - make sure the next lot know council tax is included and get a separate meter.   I used to let out a room to students from September to June.  One used blu-tack to stick about a hundred photos to one wall - doesn't damage the plaster but does leave an indelible splodge - and managed to break the TV where the aerial cable went in, thus rendering it useless.  Cost of repainting and a new TV more than the one month deposit!

Possum wants these shorts to have pockets and belt loops!   They won't be run up in a couple of hours then.

Obs, Hubby was in the garage once and there was the most almighty BANG from behind the door. Let's just say the TV which was on the kitchen worktop isn't there any more!!

Dove , hope you don't mind me shortening your moniker....

Looks like you had a bit of a mishap but really glad to see you have been signed  off...always nice ....I was so relieved to be signed off by my surgeon after my recent back surgery .....heavy practice of the knee bends to pick things up though , I wish I had had the surgery much earlier ....too macho by far image
