    Clari

"So long as he'd not expect a spik and span house, dinner on the table when he got home, everything master of the house style"

After 22 years, I've never , ever cooked him a meal and I aint gonna start any time soon.

I don't mind doing the spik and span house bit though. Whenever he suggests I do more than 2 days a week , I tell him " Fine, you can pay for a gardener, and he has to be as good as I am" That usually shuts him up for a bit. image

Can't sleep again tonight. Hey ho.

I think the bank is going to be fine.

    Crisis over, panic averted.

I'm clearing a load of rubbish from the lake edges, yellow flag iris etc, so I'm dumping it all down the bank and stamping it down to build up the thickness at that point.

A couple of years ago I had one of the overflow pipes burst and wash away a lot of soil and I've avoided re-covering it until I was sure it was stable and I'd not have to uncover it again.

Yes thanks Hosta. Only minus 1.8 last night and bright and sunny now. Waiting for the washing machine  to finish so that I can hang a load out.

still got the fire going in here though.  Did you see the chart I put on a day or so ago? Almost no rain - the opposite to you. Our dams a very low. Luckily I'm not watering in the garden.

I did see your chart Pat. I have to say it looked hideous.

You know what a " hot house flower" I am.

If I never experienced frost ever again, I'd be a very happy bunny indeed.
