Hope you feel better soon Pat. Glad you are "signed off", Dove.
Have been to Aubeterre, 1h30 drive away, to see a French bi-lingual tax advisor. She was nice and very efficient. I have been making a muddle of my tax returns, she will do them in future for a very reasonable fee.
We had lunch in Aubeterre in a village restaurant with a covered terrace. There were several heavy showers. On the way home the rain was torrential, the water had lifted a manhole cover up in middle of a village we drive through and a country lane was like driving in a river. But there has been hardly any rain at home. I hope the garden gets watered.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Glad the foot has been signed-off, so to speak, Dove.
Clarington - still chuckling about the clean-pants philosophy.
Just watching the tennis with the, post injection, kittens. They were still too small for flea treatment and the microchip needle was described as "huge", so will keep that for another trip.
Afternoon all; we've had a lovely day out in Newark. I'd post photos but I don't think they're working right now. Visited the air museum which always fascinates me and then mooched around the town.
Lily; glad you've gotten your eye looked at by someone who has their own eyes open. I had issues with my eye; too graphic for a pre water shed, and the treatment I got was great but when the scar tissue weirdly opened up again (a weird thing that would only happen to me) I was nearest a different hospital and they were completely different. It meant recovery was even longer and more painful than the first time round.
Hosta; tenants are hard work. It is so easy to see what they want to portray and not realise that below the surface they are in their own world; trust me on this. Not only is my dad a landlord but I always thought I was a good judge of charector and this morning I had to withhold a bacon butty to force my future husband into making a decision.
Looks like tomorrow is going to be try to call the doctors day. My left ear has been aching a lot recently. Worsened when I use my hearing aid. Well now it's that horrid swallowing ear wax and pain needing medication, and feeling off water / moist / goo / something amiss type BLEUGH.
Maybe the scouts shouting tonight will blast it through.
LilyP ... have you checked your email Junk Box? Nora may well have tried to contact you via email. Glad the Eye Bod seems more pro-active than the last one.
Dachalover ... my knee gave way in the garden six weeks ago and I landed flat on my face, breaking a metatarsal and "Wrecking the Hesperis!"
Good luck with the ear Clari ... ear pain is horrid ((hugs))
BL ... we were forecast more torrential rain today, but only had one light shower ... maybe you got it instead
Just been watching Nadal v Muller ........... amazing match!!!
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I am remembering now how horrid it felt when I had ear infections as a child. Thank goodness as a grown up I can at least miss the horrid pink medicine that taster of sweetness and sugar and ick.
Still; all the work I need to do can be done from home.
Evening - exhausted after watching the Nadal match - some truly excellent tennis. There have been some very good matches so far.
Dove - just watching the local programme which was on tonight about teenage artist Kieran Williamson. Lovely family and very enjoyable programme - maybe on iPlayer if you're interested.
Imagine earning £2 million pounds through painting by the age of 14...
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Back from Kew - great day with a lovely bunch of people Lots of sunshine and flowers, tea and cake. Photos will come when the site starts working again
I am exhausted now - but Liri and Yvie are probably still travelling .....so I have had it easy

Dove delighted for you, do you feel as if you are walking on air?
Hosta I remember you when your tenants moved in, you were so happy they were so loved up. Time to be firmer! Butch and cynical sounds about right!
Runny I am having problems with pm s hope yours got thro. Dove I am quite sure Nora isn't receiving anything from me.
Busy the garden looked lovely, I have often been asked but it's the tea and buns that out me off!!
Saw an eye guy who listened! A result! Back in a month then maybe minor surgical procedure Relieved!

I remember that pink medicine, I rather liked it, but then I have a sweet tooth.
Just having hot chocolate before early bed.
