Hope she's ok. I haven't seen her post anywhere either.
Fairy, I find gardening is a combination of sheer delight and "pain in the danglers". Good for the soul (or something), I suppose... ...and usually the sheer delight wins hands down.
I've still got some of last year's raspberries in the freezer. It was a bumper crop, so I don't suppose it'll be too distressing if we have a bit less jam, raspberry ice cream, pavlova etc this year...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
My bugbear just now is that the pigeons have eaten all the foliage on the cream nasturtiums I sowed in the window box along the fence, and have now had all the buds too.
but the pleasure of something thriving is
The new sweet peas I chose for growing this year are now flowering and smell delightful, and the harebells are looking a picture.
Two sides of the same coin
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Liri - 2 purchases at HC - now stuffed with my own sweetpeas
Not keen on buying plants at shows then stressing them by carting them around. But notes were taken, and online purchases made last night ....double blue geranium, sanguisorba squirrels tails and agapanthus twister are on their way.
My freezer is currently full and still loads of raspberries, so I took my friend three pound. I ended up having to wash and bag them for her freezer. Having complained that I was lucky in having them for free, instead of 2 quid a punnet, she then complained there was too many.
I seem to have come in for a bit of a battering on here today.
Sorry that my attempts at jokes about it were not appropriate.
In my defence, OH was well aware that I did these things and the reasons why.
I realise that it is stressful beyond belief for her and I have considerably cut down on my trips in recent years and may be giving up my licence to practice this summer, which would mean the end of such trips.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Bless you Pdoc ((Hugs)). Hope I didn't come over as being mean to you. You have my utmost respect and admiration ,,, just painting the picture from a different viewpoint. (( more hugs)).

Hi you two.
Punkdoc, I thought your humour was spot on. Love reading it.
Dove, hope you've been able to nod off again.
We're having a lovely sunny day after a very heavy frost. It's enough to make me feel like getting out there to dig up weeds.
