Sorry about the hirple Joyce.   You can keep your spurtle.  Never did like porridge but I do love oats in biscuits and crumbles and muesli and flapjacks.

Glad you enjoyed that link PP.   Hosta - Possum starts a lot of sentences or questions with "So....".  I am being pedantic about that even tho I realise she probably got it from all the years we watched Buffy together when she was a wee lass - girl empowerment and all that and good fun too.

PP....I actually fell asleep before I got to the end ......as a scrabble fanatic I love things like this

.......be careful you can hurt your coccyx trying to pronounce its plural :)

I was a great fan of Buffy too, but maybe for slightly different reasonsimage

    You don't say!

Good list Dacha but I see he avoids the dreaded spoonsful/spoonful debate.

my own personal  pet plural peev ( spot the alliteration there?) is "  Can I have  two gin and tonics?", NO, it's "Gins and tonic". Like one Court martial , two  courts martial. not two court martials.

I've never watched Buffy .... I wouldn't recognise her if I tripped over her ... have I missed much?
