Oooh, that sounds a bit worrying Hosta ... what, if anything, do you think ought to be done?

I'm thinking sand bags around the pipe, in the water . I think it's the fact that they are set into the bank which means water is seeping around them.

I think. I might well be wrong.

We've had one hell of a lot of rain today?

As OH says, combination of corn harvest and kids breaking up from school, happens every year.

    Oh Hosta that sounds scary!!

I'm not going to mention work today. Suffice to say that on Monday I'm going to book myself in for a haircut and the mass of greys that will be forming covered.

As I'm working in a field all weekend (a country fair) I decided to go and get some new wellingtons. £120 image wasn't quite how much I was expecting to spend bit they've so comfortable I thought it worth the risk since I walk miles in the winter with the hound.

Home alone tonight, I think it'll be a good book and many mugs of tea!

  • Will definitely be growing my herbs in pots on the table outside my kitchen from now on.  It has worked remarkably well.image

Evening all!  Dumfries & Galloway is very pretty - verges full of flowers, lots of hills and sea and not much traffic.  A bit of rain, but there you go...

Ferry tomorrow.  Hopefully a full English breakfast will sit heavy in the stomach, and stay there if it's a bit rough!  image

Thanks for good wishes, folks.  It'll be lovely even if it rains every day.  image
