The water level on the lake ( 0.8acre) has risen 6" / 150mm since this morning. The storm drains which feed into it are running with force and there's a bit of soil movement on the retaining bank!!

it does indeed Dove, via 2 fixed pipes which are now below water level, but also via 2 other pipes set into the bank.
I'm deeply concerned that there's water ingress into the bank, perhaps via mole runs , which might be de-stabilising it.
