    eek!!

    The water level on the lake ( 0.8acre) has risen 6" / 150mm since this morning. The storm drains which feed into it are running with force and there's a bit of soil movement on the retaining bank!!

    Hosta!!!!  Does the overflow run into that deep ditch to the right as you look down the hill?  

    Just heard that son's move has been delayed by a month ... phew ... that gives us a bit more time ...

    it does indeed Dove, via 2 fixed pipes which are now below water level, but also via 2 other pipes set into the bank.

    I'm deeply concerned that there's water ingress into the bank, perhaps via mole runs , which might be de-stabilising it.
