I had the best night's sleep since 'The Fall' ..... no waking OH for escorted hops to the loo until 6am
Now I'm dressed and have been placed on the sofa surrounded by a tray with yoghurt, banana and coffee, a bottle of water, book, Bing Bong, hand wipes, phones etc and R3 is on ... everything a girl needs, and OH has gone to work.
A friend is coming to see me this morning ... she said she's bringing lunch and will pot my tomatoes on for me
Hosta as I too am over 27 I'm ignoring the bally lot of 'em ... I know which way I'm going to vote, I know our candidate and he's a good one so I'm not changing my vote now. I think the way the public respond to politicians is changing and the pollsters and pundits are flummoxed. I listen to the Today programme in the mornings, and the news bulletins on R3, read a few articles in the Independent and that's enough politics for me ... my blood pressure can't take any more.
More important is working out how I'm going to get to the Polling Station, as it's too late to apply for a postal vote ... I may ask a neighbour or I may ring the local office of the party I support and they can come and fetch me ... I've not missed an opportunity to vote since I was 18, don't want this one to be the first time ...
and as for Spongebob Squarepants over there ........ words fail me! Homer Simpson would make a better job of being POTUS
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Our local MP is Geoffrey Cox, who mangaes to earn over £500,000 from his second job as a barrister. One wonders how he finds the time. Most of us would think £70K constitutes a full time wage and would be expected to do a full time job. Clearly not our MP.
I'm like you. I've been voting the same way for donkey's years and it would take a seismic shift in either that party's or one of the opposition's basic policies to make me change that vote. I just agree with underlying principles on which their policies are based. I've stopped listening to most of the political debates simply because it won't make any difference to my choice - and I get intensely irritated with the squabbling, bickering, name calling, hair pulling, two faced spiel they like to call "political debate".

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Can't say I blame you. Pigs have more consideration I'd reckon.....
Slightly concerned about what 'Bing Bog' is, Dove....
You mean - Trumpy's not making everything great again? But he said he would and we'all believed him. We trusted him - he's so genuine and up front. A great guy folks, great guy....
Are you a bit sleepy still chicky? Lovely pic.
It's Friday - hurrah. Feel as though I've done 90 hours work this week. Why are people so hopeless and disorganised? Better go - have a great day everyone, whatever the politics...err... I mean the weather.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Dove you certainly seem to be well tended to for the day, or until your friend arrives at least, then time for a nice fresh cup of tea/coffee. I am still sleeping on a duvet on the floor after pulling a muscle in my back 2 weeks ago, finished meds and acupuncture, still a little drag there, but tentatively doing 'light' gardening, planting on seedlings, planting up baskets and picking flowers. Need to get young plants into garden asap as they are beginning to wilt, will attempt to do it after the weekend. I have never pulled a muscle or hurt my back before, I don't know how people cope with long term back problems. OH asking when I'm coming back to the bed LOL Lying flat isn't as bad as I had imagined, said he should join me LOL

Morning all.
came back from son's last night. Looking at OH's iPad in bed. Posting now so I get a notification, but will come back later on my laptop.
Grumpy indeed Fairy , but that made me laugh.
