Good morning, evening Pat, hope everyone got some sleep and we weren't all like poor Hosta
Dove hope you not too uncomfortable in this heat with your boot on, Queens today!
Hosta hope all going/went well with the scan. You can't go on like this
Busy I have never heard you say you are fed up! Most unlike you I think you need someone to wait on you and spoil you instead of you doing all the rushing. If only we had flying carpets we could all come over and have a working bee for you in the garden
Joyce, I do hope OH is more peaceful and you don't have as long a day as you fear, glad you are catching up on your sleep tho.
Punkdoc, I found a Kaffa lily at the back if the greenhouse, totally neglected, dry as a bone but with a big green shoot. Have watered it well, might it flower?
dil due on 29th and very uncomfortable in the London heat. We are heading down next week, hope it will be cooler
Have a good day enjoy what you do. I have found the simple pleasures of life have become more precious these days

Hi Lilyp, and Punkdoc. I'm watching the London Mosque thing on BBC World News. So sad, if people can't even attend their religious ceremonies without idiots attacking them.
Still not watching news. Too busy chatting. Guests have just left on their next leg to Bordeaux to see a nephew and then on, via other places to explore, before catching a ferry home from Bilbao.
Scorchio here - 30C in the shade - and I was up till 1:30 watering plants in the dark whilst trying to persuade Minstrel it was time for bed. Gave up and left her to it with a gap under the shutter to the kitchen so she could come in when ready. Slept very well apart from 6am Cosmos cuddle alarm.
Joyce - I'm pleased you've had some sleep too and hope OH is doing better. Hosta - hope the scan produces some results for you. Busy - hope your pain has eased.
For the arthritic - there are a couple of little books by Margaret Hills on curing arthritis the drug free way. She was a nurse who was crippled by arthritis in her 20s and got no joy from conventional medicine. Worth finding in a library or via Amazon. Mine has a few triggers but is worse in cold, damp winters, hence the move here.
Enjoy the heat while it lasts everyone and hope everyone has a good start to the week.

Thank you for symapathising. I went to my Doc this morning. He doesn't do appointments. There were 12 people waiting and only 10 chairs. He takes 15 - 20 minutes with each patient. Couldn't face it, I walked away. I've made an appointment with another doctor for this evening. He took over the practice of my previous doctor when she retired, but I'd already changed as she misdiagnosed my daughter's ear infection (she now has to wear a hearing aid) and my friend's Lupus.
Leg isn't hurting so much today though and I took Ibuprofen and Paracetamol before bed with a hot chocolate and I slept for several hours, so felt a bit better this morning.
Sorry to be a bore with this. Just been outside dead heading roses, as that doesn't involve kneeling. I have to kneel to weed, I'm a disaster with a hoe! But it's getting too hot outside now.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Busy - I can do some weeding by hoe but generally prefer to be down at plant level. Can't kneel tho as my toes don't sit right so have to sit or bend. Tried crouching but hips and knees don't like it. Sometimes, being 27 is a pain in the posterior but I usually find ways round it - so far. Good luck this evening.
When will you get the results Hosta?
I am staying out of the sun today so a bit of painting and lots of indoor pottering and, later on, I need to move more plants in pots to shadier spots or they'll go crisp, despite daily waterings. We've eaten all our meals outside for the last few days which is lovely but the parasol pole was bent in a gust on Thursday morning so we've been moving the table round at different times of day to get shade from the trees or a bit of breeze so some shopping for a new one needs doing later on.

Morning LP. I have been out in the peace and quiet with the hose soaking the dry area of the garden and the pots.
Not too long now for DIL
You and Busy are doing well in the grandmother stakes!

Hi LP.
I think it might well flower with a bit of TLC.

Morning all. Just catching up after a long weekend away from the computer (not doing anything exciting alas).
I hope everyone is safe, comfortable, and drinking lots of water.

Obelixx, I'm glad that you have been paint brush free for a few days. It seems that you and your friends have spent an enjoyable time together.
I have accomplished quite a lot in the garden this morning. Will need to get busy at 7am for a few more days.
BL, hope you have less pain today. Take life at a slower pace for a few days.
Off to hosp soon.

Back from Hospital. In and out before 9am. Thanks for the kind wishes and support one and all.
Popped to Homebase where I picked up some packs of 6 strawberry plants for £1.69 a pack and Hubby bought a chili plant.
The poor girl desperately trying to water every thing. Many were, IMHO lost causes.
26C at 10.30, but I can't stay awake. I'm heading back to bed for an hour.
