Jolly hot here too today and even hotter as we headed inland for the Vendée steam train which runs excursion on Sunday pms.  Mr guest is a steam train and model train fan.  Came home well satisfied to cook steaks on the new BBQ.   Deep learning curve for OH but I decided that BBQ iq mens' stuff so did the salads then let him him wait on me.   Instructive!

They're off to Bordeaux tomorrow taking the scenic route.

Busy - maybe need a new hip?  I've been finding my left hip a bit naughty for a few weeks and don't really want to think about it but no point putting it off till you're desperate as it puts strain on other arthritic bits.

Joyce - so pleased you're sleeping well.  Make hay while you can!

Exhausted now so sorry to all I've missed and best wishes for a good night's sleep or rest.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Dove, I've been on a diet that has low MSG for years because I get arthritis (actually fluid building up in the joints). It's worth googling foods that naturally are high in MSG. They include tomatoes, strawberries, oranges, etc, etc. I have a whole book listing them. I've been known to gain half a stone weight overnight after a bowl of Tomato Soup! All because my joints have filled up with fluid. Very painful.image

Joyce, sorry about your extra worries with OH. I must admit that I wondered if a drip might be a problem when unsupervised. I'm glad you had the extra sleep.image

Busy, please try to rest. You've been really pushing yourself lately.

Im getting apprehensive that we might get a hot summer again following all that you are reporting. I'd really rather this moist cold.

    catch everyone in your morning.

    Morning all.

Right I've surpassed all previous records. 1.5 hours sleep. image

I was out watering the garden before it was even light enough to really see what I was doing.

The sun is just hitting the highest trees now and I'm back in for a second cuppa then I'll go and water some more.

Forecast is a heavenly 27C today and I've got to go for my scan this morning. Hoping to be home for a nice afternoon gardening / lake clearing / sunbathing. I wonder which will win.

Hosta, I had your share of sleep the previous nightimage

Seriously, you need to find some solution to the lack of sleep.

Let's hope the scan throws some light on what is causing you the bouts of pain.

    Hi all.

Too hot to sleep, but absolutely beautiful out there already.

Another day of sitting outside doing nothing, I think.

Hope Ct scan goes well Hosta and hope your OH is better today Joyce.
