Good morning Dove, Busy, Chicky Hello and welcome Kaye!

the house is empty again and there is enough laundry to keep me busy all weekend. the visit didn't go quite as planned as kids reacted badly to vaccines then took a tummy bug which daughter got too. Party had to be cancelled and we basically nursed two kids and our daughter for 6 days. Rather biblically on the 7th we then got out then they went back! Best laid plans! But it was still lovely to spend so much time with them and get to know the new baby. There is plenty to do here so older one was never bored,

I have masses to catch up on but poor Hosta! This has got to be resolved for you, good luck today

busy didn't realise the baby due so soon. Exciting

Chicky have fun and remember ohitis

WW thrilled for you that all is going well, how many folk get a pay rise the first day?!

Joyce and Fairy will have been relating our weather, shocking,  it looks like it is turning  we had some much  needed rain yesterday

hope to get into the garden this weekend, nice to be back with you all?

Weeds are flowers, too, once you get to know them.”

Have a great trip chicky - are you actually leaving on a jet plane....image image

    Loads of pix please.

What has Hosta been doing? Has he been in the wars again?  image

Not a bad looking day here at the moment. There's been a few sharp sleety/rainy showers and a lot of wind since yesterday, but it's quite benign now. It's usually wind and driving rain that wrecks our gardens at this time of year Dove. You learn very quickly not to grow susceptible plants - although I can't help myself with tulips! Been for a little walk/run for an hour and all ready for the day....well sort of. I wonder who'll phone with the usual plea 'help - I forgot to order my rosettes for this weekend....' image

I'll have a look round before I go - and will catch you all later. Have a grand day.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

LP, sorry to hear the family were unwell but still lovely to have them.

We have had a lovely sunny week here and I was hoping you would have the same for older G child to get out into the garden.

    No frost damage so far....

Haha, Chicky, Big Daddy Hostas - I like that :-).

Thank you all for being so welcoming.

Dove - that's great that your daughter's a gardener - I would absolutely love to take up a career in gardening. It's something I'm thinking about doing once Elijah's in school. I've figured I've got plenty of time yet :-#.

Hi, Hosta! Hope you're feeling better soon :-(. I was in the hospital the other day, I always seem to be having some sort of pain in my back, neck or shoulders! I couldn't move the other day! Had lots of visits to the osteopath etc, but still get in terrible pain. Then it's a vicious circle as I can't go out in my garden :-(. So, I'm guessing you have lots of Hostas in your garden?

It's bright blue skies and sunny here near Mansfield :-). Hope the weather is nice for you all.

Right, back from a rather stunningly attractive Doctor. Same ideas.. renal colic. My own GP is on leave this week so he said he thought it best to liaise with her next week when the hospital send their results through and take it from there.

In response to suggestings , he's pretty much ruled out gall stones, food allergy, IBS, and Crohn's .

A lazy day pottering in the garden methinks will work wonders.

Kay8, I've got about 125 varieties and about 1,500 odd Hosta plants. Is that a lot? I don't think so. image

There's a nice grass called Elijah.

    Morning all.  Afternoon Pat!

I can recommend a career in gardening too, Kayleigh - I re-trained in horticulture after my children were almost grown.  It was just lovely looking after other people's exciting plants, and spending their money!  image

Sunny and less cold here today.  Hooray!  image

Sorry your family visit wasn't germ-free, LilyP, but glad you had a lovely time getting to know the little one.  image

    Best of luck, Hosta!

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
