I think everything that survived the first night has survived, seedlings seem ok. One obviously sick plant is my poor new wilting acer, don't know if it's the soil or the wind or the frost or not enough water but I've just come back from dobbies with a new terracotta pot for it, now it's in a sheltered shady corner and has had a big drink. Managed to get out of dobbies having only spent £70, but but but...
How lovely Joyce. It's good to have family around.
My daughter informed me she is thinking of coming down on Mother's Day (first Sunday in May, here). It comes around too quickly nowadays. But she'll bring her poodle for me to make a fuss of. Our son is coming down this Friday, so I'll have a lovely cat to snuggle up to for a couple of days.
Forgot my phone on today's extended shop walk - was going to post a photo from the top. It was lovely apart from a sharp snow shower (ie a shower of sharp snow...), and it was warmer once I got going. Blew some cobwebs away too!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Joyce - I check all the webcams - bit of snow at Glencoe, but Glenshee has had loads, having had virtually zip for half the winter. There's some forecast for Nevis area but it's looking favourable for Mamores this weekend. I'll remember my knee braces this time
Strange day weatherwise here. The wind dropped a bit but it's never got near double figures all day after the frost. Think we've managed to miss all the showers that were around today too. Only had snowy clouds drifting in and out. I had to water stuff at lunchtime. What's that about?
I'll have a bun for later Dove - ta muchly
The little robin was hassling me for the mealworms at lunchtime. I'm hoping they have some littlies somewhere nearby
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I will have three or four of those please Dove...best make it four, I'm sure cakes and buns fall under the same rule as biscuits....you should never separate a breeding pair!
Thanks for the thermal tips Fidget! changeable weather today, mainly horrid, but working hard enough to keep warm!
DD, you have probably thought of this but its worth mentioning that you intend to put promotional details in local b and b's etc, tourists eat cake too!
Totally shattered but have to water seedlings, glad yours survived Learnincurve
Our robin seems to be supporting two wives and two families ......... one in the hedge behind our garden and another somewhere across the road ... just as well we're providing him with plenty of live mini mealworms

Relatives from Oban called in and took me out for lunch. Had a lovely chatty, relaxing three hours.
Fairy, they said there was only a light dusting of snow on a few hills on the way down
