Pat ((hugs)) I'm so sorry ... you will miss her dreadfully ... but you gave her the greatest gift we can give our pets ... a loving happy home and a peaceful end. xx

So sad for you Pat but as Dove has already said, you gave her the best life and you were brave enough to help her to die peacefully. x
Fairy, point to point is at Higham, just over the Suffolk border near Dedham. Only spectating but son-in-law has ridden in the past and so has Grandaughter. GD used to do Shetland racing and pony racing and graduated to full P2P when she was 16 with quite a few winners since then. Only eventing and showjumping this year as she had my first Gt Grandchild (Eliza) in January and her OH isn't keen on her racing again yet.
Have a lovely day everyone but wrap up if you're going outside. The wind is f-f-freezing.
Oh Dyers End that takes me back ... Higham Point to points ........ often went along to spectate in the 1960s... also went to Whaddon Chase as family members participated there .......... it's a lovely day for it today ... enjoy

I started going in the 60s Dove when I first met my husband and have never really stopped. It's still a lovely day out although much less amateur now than back then unfortunately. It was fun when the Hunt race included people dressed in their ordinary hunting clothes on their everyday hunters, often falling off, clambering back on and carrying on. We went to one in Cornwall a few years ago and it was still like that. Happy days .

Thinking of you Pat. You enhanced each other's life - and that is a special thing. Take care.
