    Morning allimage

Had a great day in Norwich yesterday. Started with tea and biscuits with a friend. Sat on sunny terrace - lots of gardening chat plus general catch up & much putting the world to rights. Looked round her lovely gaden and left with a box of plantsimage

Then a spot of lunch and a mooch round the cathedral and finally a little light shopping - bought some proper walking shoes as my old ones are falling to pieces. Have been looking for a pair I like and which will fit my weird shaped feet for agesAnd I persuaded them to give me 30% off image

Today I shall either be emptying the compost bin and then turning the other one. Or I'll be making a start on shifting the pile of compost in the drive. Both options involve spades, wheelbarrows and a protesting back and arm.

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Hi everyone. We've had a lovely afternoon. We sat on the back verandah with sunlight slanting in under the roof line, Hubby on his computer and me practising using my Inkjet pencils in a lovely colouring book. Perfect weather. No wind. I'm learning to be glad for smal things. image

Yeah, Dove, me too. It's so unusual for us to take advantage of our facilities that we forget sometimes to get out there and enjoy. There was lots of bird song. It became a bit of a competition to identify which type of bird was singing(calling). Cockatoos - both white and black, finches, choughs, magpies, currawongs,  and one we couldn't identify.

    Hi all.

Lovely and sunny, think I may need to water some areas of garden !

Hosta uppermost in my thoughts, firstly I have been awake since 4am and secondly I found lots of Hosta shoots starting to poke through yesterday.

I wondered where you had gone Fairy.

How can you lie there and think of England
When you don't even know who's in the team

Apologies in advance everyone! The winter duvet is off and in the machine to be cleaned and put away.

I fully expect three feet of snow below lunch now!

Due to the continued electricity issue I am now stuck. Washing machine is on so I can't have the dishwasher on.

I also can't vacuum or turn the boiler on for hot water to mop the floor.

No dishwasher means I can't sort the kitchen (which is currently full of meat - about 30kg - defrosting to make dog meals).

I also am loathe to tidy the bedroom as that means dumping all my dirty clothes in the kitchen while I wait for the machine to finish.

I can't get my trousers over my now swollen knees so I can't go shopping (shame!)

There are only two people living in this house; how organised must parents of two or three or six children be???
