Thanks AuntyR. That'll keep me going. I was just commenting yesterday at work, when we were discussing pancakes and scones, that Welsh cakes are also lovely
I see the camping issue on Loch Lomond has made the national news this morning. If the a***holes who trash every place they visit ( and often their own immediate surroundings as well ) were caught and properly punished, there wouldn't be a problem. Sadly they'll just go elsewhere - like beautiful Glen Etive, which now seems to be full of them. As usual, the scummy element of society ruins it for all the responsible, decent people.
On the plus side - at least the reporters could see the other side of the loch as it's clear and bright!
Rant over. Apologies for tainting your day Wales
Better go and organise myself and get the car to the garage. Hope it's not expensive...sigh
Have a good day all whatever you're up to
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Dove, sounds like you. had a lovely day yesterday! I'm glad, you were due one!
More gardening today. Started a job yesterday. Taking a small terrace back garden back to scratch and deweeding, leveling etc..... More of the same today. Very friendly robin kept us company clearing up any worms that showed their heads!
Grey and drizzling here. February went out like a lion, March looks depressing so far but next week the forecast here is good just when we are going to Norfolk, so I hope it's good there too.
Going to the SM and lunching at the Wok place.
OH said I never give him a chance to do pinch punch, so this morning I lay in bed watching Breakfast TV and lovely photos of Loch Lomond, waiting for him. Eventually Louise Minchin mentioned pinch punch, he got the message and looked very pleased with himself!
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Sad to see the new regs being introduced for wild camping in parts of Scotland. We've wild camped in our camper van but always pick somewhere discreet so we're not a blot on the landscape (forest car parks are ideal). We take nothing from the area except fresh air and leave nothing behind except the odd tyre track. We don't even put rubbish in the litter bins as it's easy for us to take it to bigger waste disposal facilities.
The minority of campers who are anti-social muppets who think it's ok to party under the stars, break down trees to make fires and leave litter behind want stringing up IMO

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
That is a weight off my mind, had a hair cut not that I needed one I was only sitting on it not standing on it. Glorious sunny day, much warmer and the Bulbs are showing some life at last.
Love Welsh Cakes, Scotch Pancakes and for Pancake Tuesday had Toad in the Hole, well it is pancake mix after all.
So they are cracking down on fly camping, it probably just got back to normal after we blew big holes in the area during explosive training, don't know about people paying to fly round the Moon, we sent a few trees in that direction.

How did that happen ?
I didn't press Edit
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Morning all.
A wet start to the month so it can only improve.
Fairy, the local 'Oban Times' printed pics of the rubbish left at Glen Etive along with fly-tipped large articles. Deliberate trips to dump there
Busy, you deserve some calm weather after a few storms and the resulting damage.
Have a lovely day?
Morning - white rabbits and all that.

Only 19 days to Spring Equinox hears to increasing light & warmth!
