........I might be needing a glass of wine - cook's perks - soon. First to decide what to do with two chicken breasts and some mushrooms - Thai or British?
............ or Italian maybe?

Been listening to fab Johnnie Walker on the radio. He has David Knopfler as a guest ( who knew Mark had a brother? Not me ) He's just confessed to mis hearing a James Taylor lyric ( mistaking Berkshires for birches) on Sweet Baby James. Hurray - I thought I was the only one who'd done that!
Picked some grand choices too, including Joni and a bit of classic Dylan. I may have to alter my opinion of Dire Straits
You could do a stir fry Obs.
I hope that was a typo T'bird - or do you really want a bit of a quicky?....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I've rather a soft spot for Dire Straits - they're not the rather one dimensional band they appear. MK said that his idea of heaven was where the Tyne met the Delta - folk meets blues - sounds good to me.

Was never a fan, but I do admire Mark Knopfler as a guitarist. He did a nice duet with lovely ol' JT too
Hosta - you're probably right about the keesh. I think I'm a bit slow on the uptake today
Has anyone grown Cobaea? I got some seeds of the white one to try. Did them yesterday. Don't know if they'll be ok here, but thought they could be an interesting addition to the clems etc along the fence running down to the gate.

Hello all. We've had a lovely day with my son No. 2, the dentist, his sweet expecting (May) wife and 2 small grandsons. It was Mardi Gras Carnaval in our local town, so we went there after lunch. Son lives in town so it was walking distance. The little boys had a couple of goes on the carousel for littlies, we watched the floats, bands and dancers go by and had confetti thrown all over us.
Then back to their place when small ones were tired, had fresh squeezed orange juice, , then son showed us his new (old really) classic car, a red Triumph Spitfire, convertible, with a wicker picnic basket strapped on the back. He took OH out in it. I had a turn on the day he bought it.
Came home just in time to feed the horses.
Now I shall read back and see how you've all spent your Sundays.

He asks a waitress if he can just have a quicky
Horrified she says " how dare you " he points to a sign . the waitress says, it's pronounced Keesh.
I might be wrong though.

I saw them live, " back in the day" ( very early 80s?) and very good they were too.
Same here Hosta - a stadium gig at Portman Road - don't think the pitch ever recovered from the boogying on down
