Morning all/afties Pat - like the sign. image

Dry here too - but still quite chilly. Pity I have to work. You're right chicky, why are the weekends so short - who invented that?

I was still awake around the same time LP was - hope she got back to sleep. My own fault - I watched Papillon. Still think it's an underrated film. Steve McQueen...could do with a fluttery eyelash emoji....

    Enjoy your planting Joyce.

Huge fire in Glasgow last night - still going this morning. We could see the smoke here. A scrapyard in Govan, but it's near a substation so lots of people had no leccy. Made for an interesting sky.

Better go and get organised after a quick look round here.Have a good day everyone image

    Hi all.

Back from London, great time, but exhausted, a long weekend there always wipes me out.

Loved the Hockney exhibition [ not to everyones taste ]

Lots of touristy stuff, and a fabulous meal at the Pollen Street Social, a Jason Atherton restaurant, for those interested in such things.

Lovely and sunny here, but quite a heavy frost, hope to get out after the SM.

    Have a good day.

    Loved that photo Pat.

    Morning forkers

i must have fallen back over but am still coughing. Oh has brought me coffee and juice and ordered me to stay in bed. I have a feeling that is to contain the noise as much as the make me feel better!

has anyone heard from Clari? Hope she hasn't been plastered over!

    Chicky, Wonky thanks for thoughts

Fairy I heard about the fire, nothing seen from here.

does anyone have a foolproof cough remedy. Not as bad a punkd with broken rib, I am just so sore

LP   I found Benylin helped, especially the "original" for night time.  Have a good rest while you can.

We will only hear fro Clari when she's at work. . . got no leccy at home.

Thanks Joyce, I will send OH down to the chemist.

Think the primroses may have to wait another day!

I'm glad some of you liked the photo of the old signpost. Hubby fought a very big bush fire along that road a couple of years ago. The whole area of hills and valleys is still devastating to drive through. The trouble is that the trees don't recover as quickly as shrubs, so it's becoming another fire danger for the future. Next time we drive there, I might get some photos of the area.

    Morning all.

AWOL yesterday, singing in York, and when I looked on here there were 4 or 5 pages of chat to catch up with.  It made interesting reading, but I ran out of "posting" time before bed.

Lovely lichen photos, and a couple of great signposts...

Hope the cough subsides soon, LilyP.  Rest is the key.

Free plants, Hosta!  Definitely the best sort.

Dry and sunny here so it's to be a gardening day!!

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
