Behind as always just read back to yesterday.

It always amazes me how nature takes hold the pictures of the lichens on the posts reminded me of one I took a few years ago, and how the top of the post had become a little world of its own even a tree had taken root.

It's amazing where stuff finds room to grow.

Gale force winds here with intermittent power cut plus internet down till 1am Wednesday so surfing off OH's fancy phone.

Been busy painting but the pesky step ladder has developed a wobble and bingo, deep terracotta paint all over the floor.    Mess everywhere but all cleaned up now.   Then I burned my finger cooking omelettes for lunch.  No 3 still to come.

Sorry to hear more lurgy sufferers about and sleepless nights.  Hope they clear up in time for the spring push in the garden.

It's happened again... a week off work and have a sore throat and mouth ulcers! Feeling miserable and annoyed at the same time. Resisting the urge to crawl under a blanket. I will do a bit more in garden as making progress on tidying the beds and borders.

    Hope I won't need a Benylin roll!

My garden and I live in South Wales.

    Afternoon allimage

Sorry I've been AWOL for a few days but I have also succumbed to a bout of the lurgy and haven't had a proper sleep for about 5 nights - so feeling pretty down and exhausted. Not in the mood for chatting and nattering really. I am existing on Potters cough and catarrh lozenges, Strepsils, hot toddies and endless cups of tea..

Last night was slightly better. Took an extra pillow to bed so I could doze sitting up (not very successful) and also a flask of hot blackcurrant which I could sip on through the night. Hot drinks and steam are the only things which really help so having a flask to hand was very useful. Managed 2 sleeps - one of nearly an hour and one of an hour and a half - luxury!! Think it was sheer exhaustion though.

Have also been drinking gallons of water. Which is all very well but I daren't go too far from a loo for any length of time!

Unfortunately it's about now that a load of insurances etc come up for renewal - most of which require phone calls image. Have just managed to do English Heritage & Green Flag but had to really time the calls for when chest felt settled.

Have no idea who gave it to me - but when I find them......image

Commiserations to all fellow sufferers and sorry for whingeing on for so long - feeling really pants at the moment.

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Rained off the last job of the day so postponed until Thursday.

Sorry you feel so pants Topbird, best wishes to you for a speedy recovery and a firm clout round the ear to whoever contaminated you! Speedy recovery to all sufferers also and here's hoping for some sunshine for us all!

Fairy, my washing is on the airer indoors, I tried to telepathically send Fairylet a message to hang yours out.....did it work?

Off to clean soil from myself!

I'd take Darjeeling tea and some good coffee Lilyp! What times the flight? image
