Morning Joyce, Hosta, LillyP, and Topbird image

Topbird - I'm visiting family down near Aldeburgh image

We had rain in the night; it woke me up around 4 so I was awake too Hosta ... but I don't think it was enough to do much good ...... the pond is still quite low.

Have a good day in Alde Dove - was going to invite you for coffee and plants if you were in the locality this pm - but obviously not.

I know I should be careful what I wish for Joyce but, believe me, we could do with some rain in this corner of the country. The worry is that if we don't get the soil soaked through soon we are going to be in for a difficult summer. Do hope though that those that have too much water are ok.image

I'm away to the office this morning - must get a wriggle on...

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Thanks Topbird - that would've been lovely image  Afraid I'm not often over your way - my lot are mainly based around Woodbridge, Aldeburgh, Framlingham area ... and of course Wonky in Ipswich.

    We'll have to plan something?

    Morning all.

We are going shopping, no compost left for my seeds, out of fresh fruit, veg and milk.

I like Framlingham, pretty village, lovely castle. Were thinking of cottage hunting round there, but ended up looking around Diss which was cheaper.

And close to Bressingham gardens so very handy I should think.

Sunny spells here but mostly cloudy and a teeny bit damp but not measurable.   I shall be checking all the pots for watering needs and weeds and then building the cold frames as I'm expecting a delivery of babies this week.   Need to find somewhere to heel in some currant bushes that have to move for a trellis fence to be erected and then I can liberate some clems.   Best check compost levels too.

T'bird - friends of mine in Belgium - one hectare garden, appears in mags and on TV - gets a full lorry load of council compost delivered every Nov/Dec and then spends his time barrowing it out to mulch the beds while they're dormant and new spring shoots can come up in "clean" soil.   He uses his own garden compost to mulch the potager.   No idea what he pays.

I had an idea that poodles had been bred to help hunters retrieve birds they had shot, but HRH took one look at the rain tonight and did her twinkle on the concrete! image

Afternoon all,  Persisting down here, wanted a dry day to get some jobs done but heyho.  I've done a deal with myself, I'm not going down the H*******k route but will do some washing and drying.  The lesser of two evils.  I do need to sort out my clothes though as quite a lot of them are too big nowimage I know I've got some storage bogs of smaller things somewhere, but not sure where I put them.

Hope everyone has a good day whatever you are up to.
