What's the weather doing there now Pat?

It's grey and still here, but drying up and mild at least.

The weather here has been sunny today and mildly warm, but Queensland is still getting very strong winds and rain. Flooding now in some areas. Recovery teams are heading up there to see what help they can give.

Morning all/afties Pat. Glad that cyclone is nowhere near you and it's retreating. As we've said, we don't have anything like that to deal with here and although we moan about our weather, we really have nothing by comparison. Incredible there was no loss of life - good evacuation policy.

Good luck with the future LG. All very exciting, if a little scary for you.

Grey here too Hosta. Think we're getting some rain later which will give everything a nice watering in. Not used to this dry weather -  I've had to water stuff in pots  image image

Betet take daughter to work and then I can catch up properly. I'm quite enjoying this week off!

Sore side is a bit better today - might get some more useful things done outside. Maybe not the slab shifting and gravel just yet though....  image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Good morning.   Slept well last night - no OH snoring so might just make up teh spare bed for him when he gets back.  Naughty Obxx.   However, it makes a huge difference desn't it, a good sleep.  Sore ribs and middle feeling much better and more mobile.    Glad yours is too FG.

Kitchen chappy is back.  Last lap I hope.    I have t keep the dogs confined while he's here or they go and help.  I'm going to whizz up a "voile" for the landing window which is just by the bathroom door and overlooks our neighbours and then pot up some bulbs and nerines that have arrived by post.

LG - this week will fly by and then you have to adjust to freedom.  It will be wonderful once you adjust.

Sorry about your toe Pat.  Best to keep it elevated till the swelling goes down.

    Hosta - how's the bike?

Busy - OH knows I like Soul so he bought me a Soul version of the messiah.   Yikes.  Not my cup of coffee in either form but I do hope OH's concert is a success for all concerned.

Have a great day all.  So lovely having long light evenings after work or workmen.

Morning all. Good luck at the dentist, Joyce.

LG are you giving up work? I saw that 25% were leaving. Have you got plans for something else?

We are going to a new little GC, they had some nice pots, OH said he'd buy me one for my new Eden rose.

Sun is shining. I think I'll put my germinated seedlings into the GH where it's lighter than the window sill. Means putting the heater on, but I will have to anyway tomorrow as plug plants are arriving image
