It's been a lovely day, 17° this afternoon, took my pullover off (did have a T shirt underneath). Have done weeding in the veg garden and cut the lavender hedge. Also cleaned the kitchen and washed the floor.
Odd job/log man has done a brilliant job. He's repaired all the electric fences, 4 paddocks in 5 acres, in just 2 days. I've been round and looked at them. Such a relief. I will have to put up some new electric ribbon in a couple of places, I was expecting much more than that.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
That's a good job done by your man. Smashing temps you had - that would be perfect for me in summer. Hosta will be horrified....
Rain's gone off here and I took a few pix earlier. Spotted a little mouse at the food under the bench. First time I've seen one this winter. As long as he stays out there with his relatives, that's fine. If he ventures in the back door, he's toast....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
That reminds me of my Nana - always one for a bargain. Her and her friend came back from a shopping trip with brightly coloured plastic T-shaped "things" each, because they were only a pound. Turns out they were the things to scrape ice off a car windscreen......and neither lady drove, or had ever had a car in their lives
Giggling uncontrollably here at the "working from home" link and the amazon reviews......both priceless
When Hubby's Dad died and we cleared his stuff, he had enough loo rolls to last us over a year, about 5 staplers, about 5 sellotape dispenser rolls and more light bulbs and batteries than I think we'll ever use.
He used to hop on the train and head to the shops and just buy stuff.

I did Pdoc and awful headaches. And very tired for weeks.
That's quite sad Hosta. At least he hasn't used it though!
doc - I think I might be last century, never mind last year...

Pdoc - one of my ears was very tender and so was the tonsil on that side, but it didn't get worse than that. Hope yours clears up soon.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I'm still feeling more tired than usual after a bit of exertion.

That was so funny, Hosta

Love that chicky - perhaps we should start a thread with our thoughts on what they did use them for...
