Liri, all the coloured pages on the jigssaws were done by me. Good fun, but harden to do as jigsaws but surprisingly tricky.

Hosta, I'm jealous of your rain.image

The Web says they're rare in the north of Scotland, but you're not that far north, are you, Joyce?

Though I agree with Punkdoc - never seen them on a bird feeder.

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Pat - yes, they're surprisingly tricky as jigsaws!  image

Lily P, I'm sorry about your plants in the GH. Maybe they aren't all lost and when the weather warms up new shoots may appear.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Major excitement! My Winter Aconites are flowering.

Always flower before the Snowdrops in this garden, and I regard their flowering as the first signs of life in the garden.

pdoc and Liri- It's not a feeder as such but a pot outside the back door with a grated cheese mix in it.

I'm in the slightly milder SW of Scotland.

Busy I am adopting that theory! Not chucking anything out yet.

joyce we get wagtails and but I haven't seen any yet, they nested last year in our woodpile!

hope my starlings return this year  I miss them!

LP, good to know that you get them so I'm probably correct in my identification.

We've had our regular visitor tonight image,so after all the fire brigade chit chat TV was allowed to be heard. Hubby now puts subtitles on so that I can follow whatever is on while she gets all the news etc

Punkdoc, I'm glad you've decided to give the Zemen a miss. We'd all be worried about you and I'm sure your wife would be too. Study idea sounds good.

Leslie, have you sorted your computer out yet?. Such an irritation.  It's amazing how quickly we've all got used to such things.

the heat was awful today not helped by lots of wind as well. I managed to get a weeks worth of clothes washed, but it was a battle holding the rotary hoist still enough to peg them on. They dried to a crisp in short order.

Time for bed again, night all.

Hi everyone, It's been a while since I posted.  I've been popping in occasionaly to see how you are all doing though.  I've been doing a bit of walking and swimming and am now 2 stone lighter, would like to lose another stone at least as Secondborn is getting married in August and I'd like to treat myself to a new outfit.

Been on a Hellebore tour at Ashwoods this morning.  It was really interesting and I treated myself to one of their new Evolution plants with some of the gardening vouchers I received for Christmas.  Not doing much this afternoon as I have a lousy cold.  Hope it disappears before I'm back on Nanna Duty on Wednesday.

Glad to see you returned from the Gambia in one piece Hosta.  Hope everyone is well.
