    Morning all. Happy Birthday, Dove.

Mild and drizzly. My 3 Gertrude Jekyll roses have arrived! Christmas present from OH. One is going in the pot he gave me and two are going in the ground. He gave me compost as well.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

LP. I lost several panes of glass when we were away, but IMO the greenhouse is still useful, keeping a lot of the rain and wind out.

Don't be disheartened, I have never heated mine and it is still incredibly useful.

LP - That's just an hour away!!!   Yesterday, it looked as though it might snow here but, thankfully, didn't. Awful to have lost plants in greenhouse image

Pdoc and others - I have seen what looks like a pied wagtail at one of the feeders. Is that feasible up here? I've never seen it before.

    Joyce.

Certainly can be seen in Scotland, I have often seen them in Poolewe. I would have thought it was rare to see them at bird feeders.
