Sorry Obelixx, I should have told you to look at the site with your eyes shut! I've had perennials from them, which arrived in good condition. Only the Anemone Wild Swan died, but I've had that from other sources and they all died. Never had roses from them.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
It's my own fault really Busy. I started off looking for nerines which I could never grow in Harrow or Belgium but want to try here as they were among MIL's favourite flowers. Naturally I ended up with all sorts of other stuff and spotted DA roses in passing. Some are on offer and even at full price are cheaper than quoted on DA's site so it should all work out OK in the end.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Hi all. I've woken to a cool morning - long sleeves over t-shirt. HRH is still snuggled up on her bed and it's nearly 11am here. You'd think her bladder would have woken her by now. I HAVE checked to see if she is breathing .
Hubby has been asked to be on standby to help the others who are fighting a bushfire near Canberra, not for fighting the fire but to bring back a fire truck. Not everyone has a licence to drive the big trucks.
How long does it take for Hosta's flight from w Africa to England? I suppose half a day? Still hoping to hear he is safely home.
Pat; glad to hear you're getting a break in the weather!
No schools today but lots of paperwork to catch up on. I have lots of teachers trying to squeeze in several workshops to their visits; we recommend one for a reason!
Morning all/afties Pat - glad it's a bit more pleasant for you and HRH
I've been busy reporting the spammers with their high quality kitchens that we're always desperate to buy....
One day they'll catch me in a bad mood and I'll just put **** off in capitals.
More of the same weather here today. Don't think my snowdrops are any further on. The birds, blackies in particular, are singing as if it's spring though. I suppose they think it is with the temps as high as they are.
Think Hosta will be home today Pat. It'll probably take as long to get back from the airport as it did to get back from Africa!
Those plant prices that obelixx mentioned looked horrific! Made our local GC look cheap, and it isn't.
Better go and organise myself for the mine. Have a good day everyone, whatever the weather brings.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Morning Fairy Think you've earned your porridge this morning
Looks as if some of the flights from The Gambia are arriving at Manchester - that may delay things for Hosta and Hub - and Hosta forgot to pack a coat didn't he?

Just a thought ... isn't it about time we thought about arranging some Snowdrop Walks?
