Dove,  thank you, that was very kind and thoughtful of you and is much appreciated.

my daughter got a bit of a fright but she is hugely hormonal at the moment.?I think the fact that her American pal (a vet married to an oilman) has been expelled shook her up a bit  we are hoping to get our visas this week.  If they are granted I will relax a bit.

your help comforts thank you x

Hello everyone. I'm glad Doves advice helped Lilyp. I must admit your story startled me a bit.

All your talk about Christmas cards is making me feel a bit guilty, but I think I've decided to not send cards this year. Depends on the pressure. I've decided to send email greetings where possible and leave it at that. Most people on my mailing list are ones I knew years ago and never hear from them except for Christmas and we'll never see them again.

ive a couple of appointments in town today, so best get going.

Pat; stop your guilt! I haven't sent Christmas cards for years (except to my great aunt). All my friends know this. Instead I put the money saved on stamps and cards into a charity tub instead. This year I think it will be the RNLI after my h2 0nly challenge earlier.

The dog has started waking up at 03:00 wanting to use the garden. It's not his IBS flaring (thank goodness) but sometimes he'll want to pee most times he looks like he just wants to check where he left his toys.

At least the birds are singing so I have something to listen too as I stand there waiting.

I'm home alone at the museum today: cue cranking the radio up loud and if my emails aren't exciting enough whizzing around with the vacuum cleaner to get my step count up.

Thanks for your support Clari. I'm pretty sure I'm not going to do any cards.

Finished with both the Dietitian and the psychologist today. I'm fairly sure I've just got to get a handle on my body's doing strange things. (With assistance from the dreaded medication) so, that's two appointments I can cross of the list.image

Hubby has Dr appt tomorrow. chiropractor Wed, and Optometrist in Canberra Thursday. I'm rather looking forward to having a break over the Christmas season.

I hope all are ok and not too cold. We are beginning another hot spell. 30 plus tomorrow.

  • Good morning all image  Large coffee here (still in bed).

Russia is such a vast country with so many ethnicities and factions ; the authorities do like to keep track of everyone. As well as national passports they have internal ones and as Russians travel say from Oktobersky to visit relatives in Moscow they have to register their passport when they arrive. They cannot just move to a new area and get a job there; first they have to prove that their particular skills/education specialism are required in that area and get permission to apply for a job there. It seems authoritarian to us but it is to avoid pockets of unemployment and poverty.

    Hi all.

Not been on much lately, mood seems to be deteriorating, exacerbated by lack of sleep.

Will keep plugging away and hopefully pop in from time to time.

    Love and hugs for all.

The radio has been moved! Agh! I found a CD in its place with Festive tunes on it. I'm not sure I can handle a day alone with Christmas tunes so I am hoping that the powers of the internet will stay reliable enough for me to listen to the radio through that.

Emails done, kettle on, *twiddles thumbs*

  • Pdoc ((hugs))  exercise, exercise, exercise - especially first thing in the morning ....  Have you got a bike?

Clari ... it's too soon for non stop Christmas music!!! Just the occasional Noddy Holder  .... it's still nearly a fortnight away!

    Morning all.

The car is still full of empty mulled wine thermoses (will need washing) leftover mince pies and empty boxes and the leafy decorations. Must clear it out before I do more Christmas shopping and posting of Christmas cards, which I still need to write. I like doing them, good way to keep in touch with all the friends and relations we left behind when we moved to France. There are friends I only see every few years but I don't want to lose touch.

No frost this morning and the sun is coming out after a misty start. I wonder if it's getting warmer?
