Uh oh. Still awake. Went to bed at 1 but gave up and got up again at 3am. I really need some sleep as I've been poorly the last few days, but am wide awake. Picked up Vita Sackville West's 'In your garden', which is a collection of her Observer columns in book form. I've read it before, but ages ago, and as it's split into months I thought I might read a section a month. The only problem is, I've finished January and want to keep going!
Thanks for all your gardening advice over the past year. Even when not directed at me, I've learnt loads just from reading and several things in my garden can now be directly attributed to you lot. I'm really looking forward to the year in my garden, even if the year in the outside world is all a bit scary and grim. It's good to see the back of 2016 and I'm doing my best to keep optimistic about 2017.
Wishing a happy, healthy, diverse and plant-filled New Year to each of you. Thanks for having me. Now I'm going to have a hot chocolate and hope to sleep before dawn.
