Lesson learned Dove! image have to say, really looking forward to Christmas now! Got a nice piece of beef for Christmas dinner, just hubby and I. image got coal and logs, brandy and beer and a rapidly decreasing batch of sausage rolls. Don't want much but have to say, so very grateful for all I have! Big brother womble will be coming here in a while and I will give him your gifts to bring over to you x

    Thanks Flowers and Hazel

image the new job involves reconditioned apple computers. Its a medium sized family company with a great staff and its all about the people. Lovely folks and have wanted to work for them for two years after all the great things hubby has said about them. Luckily when they met me they felt the same! image

Hopefully I won't be working in conditions where I come down with the worst flu I've ever encountered! Time for recovery over Christmas!

Hope you have a lovely Christmas full of warmth, great food, family and friends! X

I agree, it is not as described, but you have some additional skills that will help with your own garden.

Sales and marketing sound much more  suitable for a lady. imageimage

Nice timing too Wonks - you can fully recover from your flu, and you'll be ready to get up and go... and take on the world! image

And a few nice shrubs and plants for Dove and I Fidget! image recycling from renovations! image

Fairy, think that's why I feel I can even face Christmas this year! Time to recover from the flu, I've got everything organised, ( bread sauce milk simmering as I type) and a positive new start in the new year! image

Enjoy your break Wonks, and please yourself a bit. As I get older, I realise how important it is to get a proper balance between work and home life, and to fit in some time to enjoy doing the things I like, instead of running around to suit everyone else.

Doesn't always go to plan, but as long as there's a balance most of the time, it definitely makes for a better life  image

Your so right Fairy! I've been slogging at dead end jobs and never getting anywhere and finally I've met some people that see my potential and I've got a nice long break to have some me time before I start! Its been a long time coming but I'm going to enjoy every bit! image

Oh Wonky I was so panicked when I saw you quitting til I saw you already had something else lined up!

Shame people lie on job descriptions: don't they realise if they tell the truth it saves them the hassle of re advertising when their cleverer employees jump ship.

Wonky - relax over Christmas and be really well before your new job. It's good that you know about the people this time.image  It can make a huge difference.

I agree with Fairy re the work/life balance as neither OH or I managed to achieve that

Just watching the weather on the Scottish BBC news - gusts of 117mph in the Cairngorms. That's a helluva breeze up the Drumochter Pass.....  image
