She hasn't posted in a very long time Edd. I believe she's not well and hasn't been for a while.
Glad you both had a good day chicky and Dove
Look after yourself Wonks. Always a mistake to get back to work too quickly when you've been really unwell.
Hope the hog is ok fidget
The news is hideous. What a b***dy mess the world is. Glad I can escape it on a regular basis, even if that's a head in the sand attitude. I've posted some photos of yesterday's jaunt - a little light relief, I hope, from the horrors man inflicts on his fellow human beings in the name of whatever misguided beliefs they have.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Looks like the prediction of some rain for us might be correct this time. I can just see some misty rain down the south end of the valley. Here's hoping.
Interesting weather in the top end (Northern Territory and northern Western Australia). Two tropical lows forming which will probably become cyclones. Having lost everything to Cyclone Tracy on 24 December 1974, I can only assume that those still living up there must be a bit nervous. I'd be grabbing the family and pets and taking off to Katherine 200 km south. We didn't ever go back and apart from our neighbours seeing our cat on Christmas Day, she was never seen again.
Sad news from Turkey and Berlin. I've got BBC World News channel on, so that I can keep up to date.
On the way home yesterday we gathered greenery and today I shall make a wreath and a table decoration and give the parquet a going over with the polisher.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Pat - I had friends who left Darwin in 1974 too. Having lost everything they returned to UK. Haven't heard from my friend for a couple of days so she may have gone away to friends.
Very stormy weather on the way to SW Scotland this week.
Morning all/afties pat. Hope you've had a bit of damp stuff. It'll cool things down for you and give the garden a breather. As long as you don't get the cyclones though...
We have frost, but there's the usual wet and windy stuff to come later. Don't know if it will be suitable for me to gather greenery later Dove. Might have to nip out when I come home for lunch if I can.
I hope that wasn't a euphemism...polishing the parquet....
I'll get me coat....
and get off to work.Catch you all later. Have a good day all.
Here's hoping there's some peace and goodwill today instead of death and devastation.

Another day at the coal face. Mercifully, this time on tills. No idea what madness lies ahead. Folk will buy any old tatt just because it's xmas.
I hate to think how much of it will end up in a bin, and I don't mean compost bin.
I wonder when folk will realise that the hate filled vitriol spouted by some media outlets and wannabe presidents merely adds to the troubles of the world and does nothing to solve it.

Thinking of all who have friends and family in Berlin.
