Haven't been on here for a little while - lovely pix. I like that atmospheric shot of the waterfront Iamweedy
What's not to like about waterfalls and hills scroggin?
Have you been away for a little holiday again? Lovely that you got out. I'm getting a bit stir crazy
Great views Obelixx. The sea is stunning whether it's wild or calm. Scoured rock is always attractive.
These are on Stac Pollaidh, Assynt - which is a combination of 3 billion year old Lewisian Gneiss, and Torridon sandstone, and typical of the hills there. It's quite a unique area of Scotland.
I had great fun scrambling round here - I reckon the tall section ( just left of centre) looks like a lady in a long gown
Kind of doc to put a pic on for me before he went on his hols. I keep hoping I'll get the chance to do An Teallach. Famous hill - famously tricky too!
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Unfortunately I didn't manage to take any photos of Ophelia when she zoomed through Galway on Monday... we were under curfew in the house. It was lovely yesterday for the bus ride to Dublin though. Sorry about the reflections!
A lot of the local walls are built of Burren limestone with fantastic fossils, making the walk to school with the granddaughters much more interesting. This crinoid is about a centimetre across.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
It's a mile to school and they walk in all weathers - not common these days! So it's good to have some distractions. There are others, of course, including curlews and the occasional little egret on the salt marsh bit the road crosses.

Love a good waterfall and the Liverpool pics too.
A very calm Atlantic as seen from the "Corniche" near Bretignolles-sur-Mer yesterday
Interesting wave action on the rocks tho

Brilliant scroggin - glad you had a good time and some good walking
Weather's not been great here through September and October for hills. Our penalty for having the good stuff in spring

The crinoid really stands out in the dark rock Liri.
Not the usual mundane walk to school for your GDs.

While others were coping with Ophelia on Monday, we were enjoying a warm sunny day at Morston Quay on the North Norfolk coast
The tide was out

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Nice and peaceful at this time of the year Dove which is when I enjoy living at the coast.
