My goodness, what a beautiful setting, the mist just adds to the view scroggin. The reflections are very atmospheric aren't they? I have never been there but it is stunning. How big are the grounds?
That last photo is beautiful scroggin. Mist and fog make for some really atmospheric shots don't they? Stunning. The reflections in the water are lovely.
You can have too much of that blue sky and sunshine malarkey....
I got a similar shot last year (October 2nd) on that S.E.Mor outing, Joyce. It was an astonishingly beautiful day, with a touch of frost, and the earlier mist en route had all cleared. One of the best days on a hill I've ever had
You gain height so quickly through the woodland, and you start getting the views early on.
I think everyone takes a pic at around that point. There's a little spur which is really well worn - it's a great viewpoint. There was a couple there just taking photos when I was on the way down last Sunday. The Mamores are a great set of hills - remote, steep and tough a lot of the time, but highly rewarding.
Hills might look a bit different this weekend - lots of snow coming in on both days. Sunday's looking better to walk though.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Yes - the Pap, and the 2 Corbetts - Garbh Bheinn, on the left (foreground) and Mam na Guallain, on the right. I've still to do that one, but Garbh Bheinn was a brilliant walk
The Lochs series was nice, wasn't it?

Yeh - it's a slightly longer walk than G.Bheinn, so it may have to wait. My knees were sore despite the braces last week, so it's a bit worrying. Doing something a bit smaller this weekend, and crossing my fingers.

I love Hever Castle. I've been there several times. We lived in Kent before France and more recently had a flat in Eastbourne before we bought the Norfolk cottage.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Hope you get the weather for a lovely walk this weekend, Fairy. It definitely clears the head...
I second Joyce's opinion of your Loch Leven photo. Absolutely stunning.
Scroggin, don't do yourself down! Those autumn photos are lovely and atmospheric.

Lovely photos everyone. Thanks for posting them.
