All the bay "trees" are lit up at night, with a light show of changing colours. From the top of the hotel it looks quite plain in the day, but watching it all light up at night is mesmerising. The biggest tree has a restaurant at the top. The walkway is usually open, but there was a storm about when we were there so it was shut in case of lightening strikes.
Inside the temperate dome. Bit weird this. You walk from outside tropical hot steamy to a greenhouse, cooled to mediteranean levels and dry. It was harvest festival time. (on the walkway in)
They are the largest glasshouse in the world, apparently. It took us about two hours for the cloud dome and three for the temperate dome. They are a lot bigger than the Eden project domes. There are a lot of wooden sculptures in there, mainly carved by Chinese. I'll save them for another day. I did notice that rhododendrons and orchids have been subject to a lot of hybridization. They had bottles of micropropagated orchids for sale in the shop that would pass customs (in sterile jelly), but I don't really want 100 the same to flower in five years. I want them now.
The swimming pool is on floor 57
We were on floor 52, but on the other side, facing the old part of Singapore. The glass leans out, so we could see the road below. The garden side has balconies with bougainvillea growing all over it.

Fantastic Fidget!
Amazing gardens, I've seen photos before and something on TV about them, but being there must be so much more impressive.
