    Glad you liked it Joyce. I'm rather impressed with the colour. I bought it last year and it disappeared through winter, so I thought I'd lost it, but it came back bigger than before. It's hard to get a photo because the petals are so large that the tiniest breeze moves it all over the place. I'll be making an effort to collect seeds this time. image

    Pat - you can propagate it from root cuttings.

  • A beautiful Poppy Pat - is that Ladybird?  The colour is really welcome when most things here are finishing off for the winter.

    GD I don't know the name of it. I bought the plant from a little nursery at Dalgety, a little village south of Cooma, and it didn't have a label. Like you, I found the colour entrancing. image

    imageimageimageand for rescuing this stupid bird with a bust wing from the water,I still have the scar on my finger. Fishing birds have HUGE  sharp beaks.
