Yes - and no trolls around on the hills either Liri
It was as windy as anything I've walked in Joyce. Gusty, which is always worse than a constant wind.
You definitely can't see Lochgoilhead from there, and I'm not sure you can see it from Donich either, unless you go along the north west spur, which I intend doing one day. There's a southern spur but it's heavily forested so I doubt it would be much good for a view. The summit is too deep to get a view down. I looked back at some of my other pix form the summit and can't see it. When I met the girl from Arrochar Mountain Rescue one day, she was carrying on down the NW spur to go to Lochgoilhead and get a lift back round to her car. Better than schlepping through the forest sections.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Thats all folks! I guess there are SOME pluses to not having cloud cover and to having unbroken sunny heat. Sometimes it's hard to appreciate it. The house is still cool - long sleeves and socks, but outside it's already getting uncomfortable. All the soaker hoses are on.
Lovely photos of your front garden flowers Pat. Is the rose in the first photo the Peace rose? It looks like the one we had in my childhood garden. I love the bright red rose, it's covered in blooms that look beautiful against the bright blue sky. I had to winter prune a couple of my roses today , they were getting a bit bashed by a biting freezing wind. I could barely feel my fingers when l was done. I wish l could fly down under and sit awhile on your veranda and enjoy the view! Alas, I'm back to work tomorrow.
Hi Lilysilly. I'm glad you liked them. The first one is a hybrid tea called Athena. My Peace rose is, as usual, a bit of a problem with black spot. I was a bit crook for most of last year, so didn't look after them properly. (As evidenced by the sagging Gladioli). I also didn't lift any bulbs, so they've multiplied beyond amazing. I'll probably leave the gladi bulbs in again this year since they seem to like being neglected.
in case anyone is interested, I've made jig saws from some of the Rose photos. Look under Jigsawplanet Australia and you'll find them.

I forgot to show my little lettuce and basil plants.
I keep them on em on the front veranda for easy access - and less probless with chewing insects.

Lovely roses and lavender Pat. Never been keen on glads or pokers but yours look good in the sunshine.
Very much looking forward now to introducing some glorious colour to this garden which will be so much sunnier than my last.
Hi Obelixx. The best thing about all of them is that they look after themselves.
