Interesting Johnny. You would have been welcome to any of it..I'm not sure if the sap would have been healthy for your fish. It would need to be dried out first I suspect.
Lovely photos Loana. Re the thatching - what a wonderful skill to have.
Cute deer pic too.
Steephill - cute to look at, but not so cute if they do more than forage
Great fog pic too. Ours lifted while I was at work today unfortunately. The light and weather at this time of year makes great photos
I'd hoped to get some 'fog' ones yesterday when walking, but I didn't get out. I've been lucky enough to get some good weather induced pix on the hills though, including an 'almost' Brocken Spectre -
and a cloud inversion. Zoomed shot of the top of Ben Lui above the 'marshmallow', taken from another nearby Munro - Beinn Dorain.
The cloud, which had been present from around 2,000 feet onwards, lifted for about fifteen minutes, just as we reached the summit, allowing a few quick photos before it all closed in again
I love that Chinook Arch, Johnny. Beautiful photo. I haven't googled it yet, so what is the reasoning behind it's name?
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
All lovely pictures Peter T, they certainly are random. I especially like the rose (is it a rose?) and your daughter at Kilbury with the night time sky beyond.
it was a funny one, the owner died and didnt leave a will, so it went into dispute and as such it was left for 15-20 years (protected by groundsmen) but euros talk
one of the parties contesting it recently passed away (early 2016) so its been settled and now sold ! place is completely empty and last I saw some people were using it for paintball !!!!

That's true, the wood needs to be dead and dead for quite a while. But I still see what could eventually be.lol
