Just took a couple of pix of the moon and Venus. Not brilliant, but you can see it not too badly

Moon on left and Venus is bottom right - the bright star. It pretty much looks like this with the naked eye

    Little close up of Venus

If I could remember what Steephill said about adjusting the shutter speed, and could practice fiddling with it,  I would, but it's too cold to hang about outside for long! image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Nice pictures Fairygirl and well done for braving the cold.  We have cloud tonight, so no view of the moon or venus, but they did look good yesterday but I couldn't manage to persuade my husband to go outside with his camera.......

Yes, I pick off leaves from our lettuce (growing in cold GH) as we need them, but the lettuce plants seem to have stopped growing now - probably because I discovered the GH was below 0 zero a few mornings ago.  Hopefully once we have more daylight time the plants will revive.

    That's spectacular, Joyce.  image

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Liri, it's looking across the field at the front of the house.

What are the trees Joyce. They look so different from our Eucalypts. Great colours and your clouds look much more interesting than ours.

  • Lovely picture Joyce, I love sunsets - they really make the end of the day feel extra special.

    That's a gorgeous photo, Joyce.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
