  • That'd be good image   But I'll be heading south to visit Wonky tomorrow morning so I might not see it until I get home, unless she and I get on her tablet and have a look.

    Hi all.

Needless to say things did not turn out like I hoped.

Luckily Social Services had been informed, so that was something I did not have to worry about.

However any hopes that maybe this could lead to a thank you and maybe a chance to improve the situation were dashed. I happened to getting out of my car when NDN returned from work, so I asked how his son was doing, he totally ignored me.

I am really hacked off, why are some people such s###s?

Pdoc - if he comes round or gives any grief just tell him that you could have shut the door in his son's face and damn the consequences.  You acted very professionally and I'm so proud of youimage.

It has been an emotional day though I didn't appreciate the 'figures' arranged in Bristol Green.  Much happier with poppies and crosses.  My imagination can do much better/worseimage.

Dove - Good to see your parents out for the ceremony a few years back.  It's a very important landmark in our history.  My Dad was called up on his 21st birthday after serving in the Home Guard. My Gran was very lucky in having all her sons' back after the war (5 of them).

Good morning all. Lovely to see the photo of your parents Dove.

Punkdoc, I don't see how you could have acted any other way with your young neighbour. At least it's nice to know that the young fellow trusted you. Too bad about his father!  I wouldn't waste time on trying to be polite to him, if it was me. Trouble is, we are all taught to be polite to people and it becomes automatic for us to try.  Never, best wishes to you.

Weve got a hot windy day here, so not done much outside. We did get 3mm rain overnight, so I guess we should count our blessings for that.

im trying to stick to the FODMAP regime, but I can't honestly say it has made any noticeable difference. I'm sitting here after a light lunch of corn cruskits with cheese and home made pickle and a cuppa and Im still feeling a bit nauseous.  Hubby bought gluten free burgen bread for me to try, but I don't like it much.  Its barely passable as toast.  Feel like giving up t

The day is dawning grey and a bit windy. No idea of the temperature out there.  I'm still snuggled under the duvet. image

    Morning folks, afternoon Pat, image

Well, the weekend is here, the alarm clock is off, and between my body clock and the cat, I've been awake since 7am....which according to my body clock is a lay in! image

Very cold indoors so don't know about outside yet!

I've been reading back and have no recollection at present, sorry, more coffee needed!

Best wishes to all! Have a lovely weekend!image

    Pat.

You need about 4 - 6 weeks before you'll notice a real difference with FODMAP, your body needs to recover and start healing, and of course it all becomes habit so is much easier. Please stick with it!

Gluten free breads are... well most of them taste awful. I'll find out the names of the ones I like. Genius is a good brand but the bread falls to bits. Avoid all rolls too; you could use them as a weapon if you throw them at someone.

I've got to go back on a strict regime, all I crave right now is sugar and sweet things and more sugar. Not ideal with Christmas looming but when you look six months pregnant with bloat you need to sort it out before people start rubbing your belly for good luck ( I've put on 5kg in the past two weeks; if this continues I'm growing a beard and playing santa!)

All I can recommend is make sure you drink plenty of water. It'll help flush  through, and of course all that peeing helps distract you from concentrating on all the things in the kitchen that you can't eat.

Wonky: we got up, made tea, went back to bed, not one of us is keen to get up; it's grim out there!
