After her little flourish earlier in teh week, Pusscat took a turn for the worse so we took her to the vet this morning.   Now we have to bury her according to local rules and regs.

Going to need a lot of chocolate today.

Obelixx, what a shame when you thought Pusscat had a new lease of life.  You will miss her but you gave her a lovely home and cared for her well.  ((Hugs)).  Loved your pics - especially the coos'.

    Good to see you Catnapimage.

Well there is so much to catch up with so I'll take a while to get my bearings.  Good news so far DDimage.  Hope everything else goes smoothly too.  Sorry to hear of all the colds, aches and pains and, of course, plaster Clariimage.  Looking forward to the next episode of the Rocky Hosta Showimage

Fairy I hope that your knee has improved a bit since the weekend.  What a painimage.  Dove I hope physo is doing some good.  I visited the Dr today and she's referring me for physio for my back and gave me stronger painkillers (Probably anything stronger than paracetamol may helpimage.

Mum and Dad are still struggling along but happy to do everything 'their way'.  An exhausting week but at least I know they've got winter bedding on, clean nets in the bathroom and winter pansies in the containersimage.

GW hope you finished all the housework before your guests arrivedimage

Hello folks - I'm back image

Physio worked on my neck and upper back this time - I'm certainly having a good seeing to and my shoulder is certainly easier than it was. However, when I drive for more than 20 mins or so I get pain in my underarm and upper arm muscles, so she says there's obviously something still wrong somewhere - I have a new exercise where I have to stretch backwards over a hard chair-back - shall have to get OH to hold onto my ankles image

Hello Lesley image  glad your parents are 'ok' image

Thanks RB and Doveimage.  Rb, I'm not that good, I just have to choose the right argumentsimage.  Dove - don't give OH the wrong idea - should he be seeing your anklesimageimage.

Catnap I can't believe it but when I went to the Dr's there was no wait at allimage.  I think we'd all like to see photos of your progress in the communal gardens.  It sounds as though you have a very nice place there - in the warm southimage

Lesley - if I'm not careful that's not all he might see from that angle image

Looks like there's someone with their pants on fire over on the Winter Gardening thread image

A winter gardening thread is a good idea -  but I don't think a Canadian garden centre selling hydroponic systems  is going to be of interest to most of us  image

I'm sorry about Pusscat, Obelixx. xx

Have had problems with Internet today. Orange say there is a problem and a technicien is coming next week.

Man was supposed to come 15 mins ago about the leak in the pool filter.

    Thank you all.

We were advised we have to use quicklime to keep marauding foxes and stoats and martens off so have been on a tour..........so, a bit late in the day, OH is finally out there digging a regulation 1m deep hole.   25 kilo bags but the surplus can be diluted and used to paint fruit tree trunks to deter pests.

We also came home with some bulbs to plant on her grave and10 each of 3 types of strawberry plants to crop from May to October.  Need something else though for this period as she came to us late one September.   Maybe transfer some of those autumn daffs which are popping up all over now and one of my shrubs from Belgium.
