Amazing rainbows here this morning - sunny spells and showers - think sensible shoes and a waterproof jacket are the order of the day for Bressingham.
We've had our dippy eggs and toastie soldiers for breakfast; all is washed up and a piece of gammon and some veg are in the slow cooker - they'll be ready for this evening's supper.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Slept late too Joyce. Shattered still but we're slowly winning against the piles of cartons. Best do some clothes next I suppose. Oh is busy changing a light fitting so I can see in the new pantry/scullery. I might do a bit of pot moving later so my herbs are by the door and in full sun and maybe put some bulbs in pots too.
Pusscat has developed a bit of a limp so I fear the cancer is now affecting her gait. Otherwise she seems fine and is eating well but I don't want her suffering. Vet tomorrow then and we can update the doggy micro-chips while we're on.
Great photo Busy. Glad your trip went well Chicky. Have a great day out FG. Clari - hope Reggie enjoys his play date. You too. Well done Hostafan - the way to go is a series of rolling logs. I used round fence posts to move a concrete BBQ with chimney - much to OH's surprise. Doubting Thomas should have known better in the face of Obxx is on a mission!
Enjoy your day everyone.

I wish I were as organised as you when it comes to meals Dove. I had coco pops (bowl on the counter top) for breakfast and no idea what we're going to have for dinner.
Sorry to hear about puss cat Ob. I hope she's not in pain, I shall keep my fingers crossed the vet trip goes well.
Thanks Clari. We'll find out more tomorrow and then make decisions. She is eating well, even if she no longer scats, and she did ask to go outside this morning while the dogs were out on walkies and managed the stairs but is clearly stiff in her back legs since yesterday. Don't want her suffering if we can help it.
We're having slow roast belly pork with crackling and apple and veggies for dinner. No idea about lunch yet.
I have just unpacked OH's Belgian beer glass collection. Two shelves' worth and I suspect most will hardly ever get used now.............but he wants them displayed in the kitchen!

Phew, managed to catch up, what a busy lot you are, I do love reading everyone's adventures, even though it's a shame to hear about poorly pets and missing/anti-social hedgehogs.
Been to my jogging club this morning, can see much improvement in my ladies and much more confidence, very rewarding and such a beautiful morning for it too.
On my own today but making an effort and have prepared a big beef stew for the slow cooker and am baking a 'real' rice pudding, all for later when it's cold and dark so I can be all settled and snug for the SCD results show. Then, all leftovers can be used tomorrow when Charlie arrives and it means I won't be stuck in the kitchen whilst he is here - I can oversee homework duty properly.
I might go out and do 40 lengths in the local swimming pool later, as per marathon training guide, or then again I might just have a lazy afternoon watching some catch up TV - my guide does say rest is as important as training.
Good afternoon to all, hope the sun is shining wherever you are.

Clari - you have other things on your plate to deal with apart from dinner

Home for lunch . They want me on checkouts later so someone else got the nice, Appledore/ Westward Ho! run.
Glorious Autumn day, hardly a cloud in the sky.
Just borrowed a fairly chunky trolley jack capable of lifting 2 tons.
Can't wait until tomorrow, so might nip out after work .
DD - I've been avoiding puds but a baked rice pudding with sultanas and grated nutmeg. . .
