Im not feeling really happy at the moment.(apart from enjoying my jigsaw puzzles image).

I just phoned our friends in Melbourne to talk about their trip, and got told that they have managed to get tomorrow off from work so will get away early tomorrow instead of Thursday. Yeeek!  I've not finished the visitors end of the house yet and still need to make the bed and clean the bathroom and toilet rooms. Wednesday is Hubby's chiropractic day and he has a sleep afterwards to settle his back.  Since it's already nearly 10pm, I'm not going to start doing it now.  Im tempted to leave it undone and let them do it themselves. I'm wondering if they would have rung us if I hadn't called them.  Grrr.

My dietitian appt was conducted by a student with the real one sitting back nodding every now and then. Do I sound rather out of sorts? Perhaps I'm just tired (and fed up with the medical profession not getting anywhere).  The new plan is for me to go on the FODMAP regime and see her again in a month. Well I certainly won't be starting that while I've got visitors. Feeling rather annoyed. Sorry to offload on you,

Hello again -  I'm back from the city and waiting to hear from the garage re the MOT etc.  as the garage is on the northern edge of the city I had to get a bus into the centre and another from there to home - thank goodness for the bus pass image  While I was in the city centre I walked through the market and picked up some pork chops for supper, and also managed to get a top from M&S image

Now I'll see what everyone's been up to ...

Pat - If they'd turned up early they'd have had to do it themselves wouldn't they?   By all accounts FODMAP is very effective at identifying troublesome foods so do give it a go when your guests have gone.

Yvie - I don't mind snakes but then the worst we'd get here is a viper and they're shy.  I wouldn't go actively hunting either.  None spotted so far but, finally we have some small brownish birds I recognise - chaffinches and sparrows scavenging on the terrace so I'll put some ground food out for them.  I suspect the rest are mostly warblers but which ones?

What kind of new shed RB?  Fancy chalet or workhorse potting shed?   Exciting either way.

I have just started a huge pot of fat free vegetable soup to keep me going when I get a snack attack as I can't see me doing formal meals over the next week or so tho I will no doubt treat myself at some point.   Other than that, the hosepipe is now laid out while I consider where I want my new edge to be and I've found the missing narcissus poeticus I had stashed along with some alliums.   More pots then.

Sun's coming out so I may just go and walk the dogs and then I can potter while I wait for the plumber - bathroom sink has a leak, needs a new tap and I want to discuss moving it anyway.

Just back from a pootle round the GC. Good size perennials for £2.50, hard to resist, so I didn't.

Feeling drained and headachey. Family dispute yesterday.

Your winter interest area sounds a lovely idea Obelixx.

Glad you enjoyed your visit DD.

Oh God, Joyce, that'd really do it for me.  She was parked at her mothers place today when we drove past, so I was feeling a bit twitchy until 8pm, when we are usually free from a visit. I'm really tired tonight and I just didn't need our friends joyous news .

Hubby has been busy in the kitchen so there are now 10 tempting-looking meat pies in the fridge, so dinner will be easy tomorrow night. Just the vegs to do.

Sorry Busy, didn't mean to ignore you. Hope it gets resolved. Drained and headachy is a good way to describe how I feel, as well.  I suspect I'll be in bed early tonight.

    Oh Busy ((hugs)) image

Pat, I've also heard very good things from the FODMAP regime - hope it helps - and in the meantime, yes - let them do a bit for themselves - tell them you've had a migraine image
