All that time and all I achieved really was tidying up, mulched the important plants and a fuller leaf moulder.

I go into the garden for what feels like ten minutes and find, when I get back in, that two hours have somehow pased. I think this is a good thing! Too much clock-watching-it-must-be-done-now in modern society. Doctors should prescribe gardening! Plants should be available on prescription
  • Gardening has that effect on me too DampGardenMan, with most people I am sure it is the same - so easy to lose yourself in the moment - only to find that an hour has passed whilst you potter around in the great outdoors.
No gardening here today - it has been raining since dawn and only now looks like improving. Instead I beat my OH at a good game of Guernsey monopoly this morning!

Got lots done today before the rain came.  Cut back ivy, topped up pots with fresh compost and FBB.  Pruned a couple of shrubs, cleaned and refilled a barrel water feature.  I'm still picking up prunings from the tree work that was carried out a few days ago.  Oh and I cleaned out and tidied the woodshed.  Pooped now.

You got more done than I did Tin Pot and your garden looks nice and tidy now, so next time out (when it stops raining!) you can do more pleasurable things.

Busy-Lizzie - snap, we're also opening on the 17th June (and 16th). Oh help! Are there many of us are doing the same this year?

Got about four and a half hours in before the rain got to heavy and I got too hungry.

  • Well I’m still gardening and taking a break. Just plotted my Plum tree.. hooraaah! And still soaking my bare root roses...
I do have a little problem.. I run out of compost... now don’t know what to do with the roses 🤣🤣 might just have to squeeze them somewhere

Thanks Allotment boy. I did feel good to be in the garden today but the weather was dropping getting far too cold. Got it in the shed now so frost doesnt get in the plum.
Hopefully next week you will be able to do some gardening. Cross fingers ^_^

Went to SM this morning (not my choice, shopping required by in-laws) and a vinca and aubretia fell into the trolley as l passed. Got them in the ground late morning and then the heavens opened - again.
Forecast for Monday is either snow or torrential rain, but at least Sunday appears to be staying dry at the moment. A window of opportunity hopefully.
