Planted up 8 troughs and 12 big pots with petunias, calibrachoas, diascia, rudbeckias, osteospermum, French marigolds, Scaevola, surfinias, Isotoma - but not all mixed together! Still lots more to do.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Good weather in Cheshire  I potted up all my bedding plants. However every year I end up with a mismatch in terms of numbers of pots and the number of plants to put in them. This year there were more plants than pots .

I also freecyled a range of plants to two people. Another coming tomorrow and someone hoping to get some.

Many of these are easy  spreading plants where giving away off sets will not noticeably affect my garden stock .London pride. Veronica,"Tissington White." Ajuga ( Bugle) in three different colour ways . Dicentra which seed happily also Alcemilla mollis

To say I am tired is an understatement.

Your garden layout is wonderful.imageimageimage. I am not going to get anything like that now  I will peservere with what I have  and enjoy my plants, should have started 30 yrs ago. Does anyone have a spare husband who is a willing gardener?

This morning I split the Carex sent to me as a tiny seedling by a forum member 2 years ago into 4 healthy size chunks to dot around the garden. Thanks, Granma!

Did a bit of watering today, my garden has decided to burst forth all at the same time ?.

Poppy 'Beauty of Livermere' and 'Snow Goose' rambling rose both opened up their first flowers today, and clematis 'Rebecca' nearly did (tomorrow probably).  Nice having a garden in sync ?.

Just watered everything. It's lovely to see it all thickening up.

Off to Chelsea tomorrow! Being taken by a client - feeling very lucky and really looking forwards to it.

Not a lot! The heat got too much by about 11 oclock and I was out in the afternoon.

I did collect up yet  more perennials together to Freecycle for several people who showed interest . Lots of offsets and seedlings about in the garden, which will be of use to others.

I had a large group of veronica plants which I have dug up to share and I doubt if I will notice they have gone. Cut and come again plants. A large clump of sedum has made lots of off setts .

This is very time consuming though but I hate throwing them away . What do others do with their excess  plants?

Poor Rozanne.  I have done the same with mine and learnt my lesson .

I did it with some Heuceras as well. Make sure they are established before taking cuttings..
