I think I've planted about 180 daffs and alliums today but will try and plant another 30 if the rain lessens.
Tinkered with one of my moth zones, ripped out some rosebay willowherb which isn't very mothy of me but I'm up to something and the moths can bear with me
Collated all my outdoor seedlings, predictably polemonium (hopefully white) and red valerian doing well, also the everlasting peas are up...holding out on the identity of the others until they are bigger as it is possible something fell out the border into the pots
Transplanted Maltese Cross, lettuce and aquilegia seedlings this morning, rang the horticultural office re: honey fungus or not, and generally pottered about in the garden.
I tidied the garden by cutting down some plants for winter approaching and filled up my compost bin. I gathered up 2 bags of leaves and put them behind my hut to make the lovely leafmould . I noticed that I have an Azalea flowering ...in October? Quite a few flowers on it too ! I also noticed that my snowdrops are starting to come through, is that not a bit odd for this time of year?
Joyce mine is too. My OH has just told me the spring bulbs I planted at the begin of the month are coming up too. Will I loose them if we get a hard frost.? Its nice having milder weather but it IS really confusing all the plants. Where abouts do you live?

Re-potted some plants and put into cold frame to overwinter. Raked yet more leaves.

Blooming dog has dug up the bulbs I planted recently! Might bury and plant the dog!
My large Pieris is covered in flower buds Linda. (Just down the coast from you)
Poor plants are all confused with the milder weather.

I'm in Ayr, Linda. The cold weather will halt the bulb growth so hopefully they will be ok.
