I potted on 12 tomato plants today. Some were a tad large so I sank them well in the bucket and added plenty of compost and a cane.

  • Been out and weeded the front garden. Manged to not disturb the Hostas for the for the first time in a few years. Bought more Pulmonaria to finish off the ground cover.

We had snow and gale winds start of the week, which has left a few stunned plants around the garden.

Very sad news Ellen.  Used to marvel at the amount of work Michael did on his allotment and he was so pleased to get his polytunnel.

Thanks for letting us know the sad news Ellen, I did wonder why he had stopped visiting.  Michael's boundless enthusiasm for gardening was always evident in his posts.  He will be sadly missed.

Very sad to hear that Michael has passed away.

It made me smile to read about his gardening - he seemed to love just being in the garden, seeing the birds etc, as much as growing plants and veg. We understand that passion on this forum.

Take care Ellen, I hope you have many lovely memories that can give you a little comfort at this difficult time.

What sad news, I hadn't seen it as we are on holiday in our Norfolk cottage. I will miss Michael's posts. Thank you for letting us know, Ellen.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
