I hope you fulfilled your plan GWRS, there is plenty to do outside at this time of year.
I planted out my first few beetroot which I had grown in module trays. Just hope the cat doesn't decide to use that freshly dug area for his loo - AGAIN!
Prepared another part of my wild flower area, going to sow the seed tonight and put a cat restriction order on the area (as if that will stop him - not).
Sowed more courgette and cucumber seeds in 3" pots in cold GH.
Climbing roses pruned back, late flowerers. Some weeding, thinned out a mass of Bluebell before they flower and seed even further. Sat in glorious sunshine topping up my vitamins, well at my age i am allowed a sit and ponder. "Oh" yes pond, cascade not working so out it will come and a still pond put in place with some aquatic plants, no frogs or spawn so OK to go ahead.
Bought some sweet peas yesterday as mine didn't germinate properly this year... didn't get a chance to get them in the gruond yesterday so that's what I'm doing this evening after work- thank goodness for lighter evenings!
Hello , got in garden , cut front lawns , sorted out pots and deaded / tidied up a few plants , nice relaxing time in garden , needed to take it easy though , as not quite fully recovered
Just about to go to watch Lincoln City FC playing Dag & Redbridge a top of the table clash
All I did today was fertilize everything out back and front that I've planted over the last month. That is, until I ran out of my granular fertilizer. I got almost everything treated though. Just a few more potted plants to address when I go buy more fertilizer. Yesterday I planted 3 peach Astilbes. I've never tried to grow them before and can't wait to see if they will go for me here.
Earlier in the week my dad visited for a couple of days and did some weeding and lawn edging. I had 18 upright lobelia Queen Victoria plugs arrive which I've potted up. I'm expecting 135 trailing lobelia, nicotiana and gazania plugs to arrive today or tomorrow so plenty more potting up to do.
Digging up wild bramble roots. Horribly spiky, and I swear these roots reach China. The Springer puppy is having a ball helping me dig though, and there is dirt flying everywhere.
