Going to have a rant on the other page but apart from that I'm fine. 12 hour shift yesterday, finished at 2:00 am this morning, gosh I worked hard, very demanding people but we got through it, great team I worked with yesterday (all French) and we all just help each other out.
Smiled at all the car key stories, been there done that, Charlie was 18 months old and I put his changing bag in the boot and went back to check front door was locked and self locking kicked in. OH was in London at the time with spare key. Luckily the police responded really quickly and managed to get a master key from the local Nissan dealership, apparently there is a secret way to get in under the rubber door handle. Charlie thought all the police officers making silly faces at him whilst we waited for the cavalry was highly amusing, they kept me ( a quivering, tearful, wreck) hidden in the kitchen with comforting cups of tea and sympathy. ooh, I did feel stupid.
Still waiting for my TV to be connected (Tuesday now) and then I'll be watching catch up of SCD and GBBO, might even give Poldark a go for amusement purposes, but think I actually prefer a juicy murder.
Good afternoon to all, sunny here and very hot, would quite like a bit of rain actually.

“Coffee. Garden. Coffee. Does a good morning need anything else?” —Betsy Cañas Garmon
Greetings from Kefalonia. Lying under an olive tree at the moment listening the crickets. Glad to hear from you RB. Went into Argostoli this morning to watch the loggerhead turtles feeding in the harbour. They were huge. Will have to watchPoldark on catch up whenI get back to uk. Can someone pop round and check if my garden is ok please. Now do I fancy a nice cold glass of white or a bowl of greek yoghurt, fruit and honey?
Yviestevie , terrible weather hear , started raining this morning and in for the day , I would personally go for the cold white wine , glad you are having a nice time
Must get my sparkly waistcoat on for Strickly tonight
Wine Yvie! Yogurt and fruit or honey for breakfast.
Busy - I don't think UK and French TVs are compatible and it seems Belgian and French aren't ether. At least, chappy in France said there was nothing wrong with the aerial but we need a French TV to get the signal. I do like to keep up with local news as well as the wider world.
I usually find the first Strictly hopelessly corny and then we have to wait another 3 or 4 weeks to see which idiot(s) couldn't get one 90 second dance routine and maybe a group dance nailed in all that time of one to one teaching with a top professional. Love it all the same though.

I've had a lovely time reading all your comments tonight. Had a visitor (yes, that one who stands in front of the fire) and she only just left. Didn't hear anything on the TV because of her voice in the background talking fire brigade stuff - and I only have one ear that works . So, I've been playing jigsaw puzzles on the iPad while this was going on. Such a relief to have all you normal people to listen to.
Anyway, since it's nearly midnight (once again) once Jules Holland has finished I'm off to bed. Would you believe he has Engelbert Humperdink on tonight? Amazing.

Obelixx, we bought a new TV for the cottage. Are French and English TVs compatible nowadays? They used not to be.

Hello, had a lovely night away and come back in time to pop up to the Flower Show
our village can be a bit feudal and I do see over the years how many fewer entries there are.
problem seems to be the young ones not getting a chance to come in. The same folk win the same classes year after year. Not encouraging to new people.
the Earl and the Duchess had brought the grandchild which was rather sweet.
Very wet and so come home to start the expected new baby's tapestry! I think we are safe now
happy Saturday

Hurrah! I can hear the water butts filling up and the lawn drinking up the rain
