Hi all ? Vishu what a marvelous bunch of exotic plants, just wondering If they woul grow in France ?. Couldnt help but look up football lily and it's stunning...here is picture I found on internet ?
I don't do anything unusual.......they expand on their own....... Perhaps, i have good variety or maybe the weather suits them......but they sure do spread fast and their scent is lovely......not at all overpowering.

Thanks....... Most of them are pretty common........
Yes, that is a football lily A.K.A. blood lily......... It is very common here............grows very easily....... I don't like it much cuz it's too common....... I just use it to fill spare pots in the hot brutal summer.
we always want what we can't have and don't value what we do have........
You can give it a shot........ I have heard that it's grown in USA so it might be possible in france.......
Best of luck......... i hope you find it.......it's a 'no fuss' plant........... sunny, semi shade, shade, wet, dry, it grows in all conductions...... have a lot in my grandmother's garden. They grow very well in dense shade under a mango tree in almost barren soil( mango trees suck up all the nutrients) and yet bloom profusely without fertilizer/manure and in draught like conditions.......
Most indians who have a decent sized garden have at least one mango tree......... We have 3 at our place.........5 at my grandmother's...........it's only fitting, since we rule the world of mangoes by being the largest producer of mangoes, contributing roughly 42% to the total mango production world wide....... we adore mango.......it's the only thing that makes summers tolerable........
Aym, if you pot up that ponsietta into a bigger tub and cut the top off a little, it should recover, as mine did last year...not too dry but DEFINATELY don't over water....☺️
