Yellow Gardeners Delight

  • I bought Gardeners delight seed from ebay seller years ago now, claiming to be organically produced and they turned out yellow plums. But I didnt mind as I kept the seed cos they were the best toms I have ever grown really. And I've grown toms most of my adult life and in my late 60s now. Masses of fruit, tasty, sweet and juicy. No issues with blight or pests. Delighted I was.
I did google the issue and found several blogs of people who had the same thing happen; Gardeners delight turned out to be yellow plums. Very odd indeed. Im wondering if they were all sourced from same place, which writes off my organically grown ones.
I was actually hoping to buy sweet 100s, but they seem to have gone off the scene completely.
But I will try and keep these yellow plums going from saved seed.
So what did you folks think of the yellow plums toms?

I would really like it if there was an improved Gardeners'  Delight .  This is an old thread so maybe there is new info around. It was not a yellow variety but a red one with the size being of a large cherry tomato  with the most wonderful taste.  It was also prolific and lasted well into the autumn.

Unfortunately the variety has had it's AGM removed.  If anyone on here knows of a revived or reinvigorated or improved Gardeners' Delight I would  be delighted gardener and the first in the queue to buy the seed.
Based in Sussex, I garden to encourage as many birds to my garden as possible.
