Problems with broadband / phones ongoing. Seems there may be a problem with an underground cable 100m up the road. That means digging up the road - which is always good fun on our single track, dead end lane. Bu$$ers everybody up - 18 houses and nobody can get in or out....
No idea when it will get sorted. BT and Openreach have to do the work and they are in my Top 10 of most useless companies. One positive is that our phone and broadband supplier are very good at keeping on top of problems like these. It's why we pay a little extra.
Hope you find the recipe for the relish Hosta - I understand it's very good. My tomato plants are producing lots of fruit now so I might be looking for ways to use them up before long. Unable to read back so hope everyone else is ok.
Getting lots done without t'internet to distract us - although there's a fair bit of holding down sun loungers going on too. Suffolk was the hottest place on Tuesday (34C) and it's been in the very high 20's every day. Leaves on lots of trees now yellow, brown and crispy.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
We had a lovely day in Norwich. Weather just right. Delicious, beautifully presented (piece of art!) meal in a quiet part of the city. Smiley young waitress. I bought shoes in Clarkes and OH bought a pullover (not in Clarkes ). Then we went to a jeweller to pick up the rings we'd ordered in June. OH gave me a beautiful sapphire and diamond eternity ring and I gave him a signet ring.
Going to Kent tomorrow for a friend's birthday party, then going to Brighton to stay a night with friends then to my sister's for a night in East Sussex.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Morning all/afties Pat. I'd stay put as well if I was you
Calm and cloudy here - off in 15 mins for my walk. A gentler sort of day than last week to keep the old knees right
You haven't missed anything Clari - just summer...
Sounds like a nice weekend BL - hope it carries on being nice for you. I got a few things done outside yesterday so the garden's quite tidy. If it stays dry tomorrow I can get a bit more planting I think. Saving a trip to the nursery for next week - they usually have a sale in September.
Have a good day everyone - whatever you're doing
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Hi all. I assume Hosta translated my misspelt word -should be "produce".
Sort pf waking up. Heavy frost out there. Not budging for a while.

A quiet, still and sunny morning - just the cooing of wood pigeons

Dash it! I missed it last year too; was in the bath.
