Dove, he says if I do the bathrooms, he'll do the rest.

    Watch this space.

My bet is that you get a new cleaner by Christmas ... if not considerably sooner image

Obelixx - the new place looks interesting ... the grounds I mean, not the interior - although I'm sure that'll be lovely once you've got it sorted image

The visitor who cancelled this morning phoned again and was able to come along as her father's GP had already turned up and he was on the mend - she'd brought over a lovely condolence card with my name on, which had been found among the belongings of my young friend who died shortly after Ma passed - they'd not wanted just to put it in the post, so someone brought it over in person ... very kind. We sat in the garden and reminisced about her for a while.

After that I watched the 'lympics while I went through two large trunks of the Aged Ps' belongings and paperwork which had been sitting in our garage waiting for them both to die before I could go through it all and throw a large proportion of it away. Lots and lots of rubbish, but also paperwork regarding the purchase of their first Suffolk farm back in the 1950s and the second in the '80s other similar stuff - I'll pass that on to Bro as he has the farm now.

There's two lines full of dry washing out there in the sunshine and I nearly got the ir*ning board out to flatten a couple of shirts, but OH has convinced me that I've done quite enough for today and should put my feet up if I'm going to cook some mackerel and grate a pattypan to make a courgette salad later on.

Anyone going to join me on the sofa to watch more 'lympics? image Don't sit on my knitting needles ....

    Anyone seen KEF?

How can you lie there and think of England

KEF's most recent post was on 18 July ... wonder if she's visiting her friends in the Med?  Was it Cyprus they moved to?   Or maybe they've still got the builders working on the house?

    Afternoon all.

The Big Bit of grass has been cut in 3.5 hours. A new record.

Just stopped for a bit of lunch then off to layer all those grass clippings with tree chippings delivered last week.

Bushman, I seemed to have missed bits, but progress seems to have been made. You should be able, as someone suggested, to pick up a 2nd hand TV. Try Freecycle.

Obelixx. I'm with you on the Olympics. image but you put it so much better than I.

Something to look forward to on telly. ( maybe just me and Obelixx though )

New series of Great Canal Journeys with Pru and Timothy. I do have to confess to the odd tear when Pru has one of her poorly moments, bless'er.
