BL, it sounds like your friend was remembered in a way that was really fitting.
It has been grey and drizzly all day here. Cats have hibernated rather than sun bathed in the window.
I've kept myself busy by decluttering the bedroom. We are lucky to have a very large bedroom, but it also means it is easy to let lots of clothing and 'stuff' build up over time. I've only tackled 'my part' of the room, and I've got rid of 8 black bin bags full. Three for the charity shop, three to go to a centre that will send them abroad to those in need, and then two bags that just needed binning. I'll tackle a bit more tomorrow, to organise husbands clothes better, but I won't be getting rid of any of his clothes just incase I get rid of something he wants to keep. Smallest cat decided to sleep in the middle of the bed, completely surrounded by the clothes I was organising. I think she was in her idea of heaven, surrounded by clean clothes!
Relative hasn't responded to the medication as expected, so I think the treatment plan is changing, which I hope will make them more comfortable.
Dewdrops, hope you hear better news of your relative soon. Thinking of you and your family xx
Thanks for your good wishes.
My cat has taken up residence in a box lid, precariously balanced overhanging the edge of the coffee table, and it's currently the Best Place in the World. And if she falls off (which is almost inevitable), it will, of course, be my fault...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Cats do pick the strangest places to sleep. Our smallest one does particularly like clean laundry though- this was yesterday afternoon:
Shes currently asleep on me though, rather close to my neck and face, she keeps twitching and waking up when her whiskers catch me.....this is of course all my fault!
Back from the Gardening Club evening. It was fun, a good antidote to the funeral, well attended. I won the best vase of garden flowers and my friend won the best cake, but my cake was 2nd! There was wine and nibbles and it was held in a garden with glorious views.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Well done Lizzie, a good way to end a difficult day
